The Points Guy (travel blogger) just wrote a very comprehensive review on this cabin - beware being above a nightclub named Luna?
Wish Cabin 6558
Wish Cabin 6558
We had ours on and could still hear the thumping!Pounding bass is the WORST (for me) and seems to “travel” far and wide. I travel with a little sound machine these days - not sure it would have helped in this instance.
I am really surprised you could hear it in 6090. Isn't that room above Mickey's Mainsail and a good distance from Sarabi? We were right above the adults only area on the fantasy in December and never heard anything.
We sailed in 6090 on the treasure last week and could hear base thumping late at night. We were above mickeys mainsail, but must have been close enough to an entertainment area to hear the loud music. Wasn’t a deal breaker for us, but I bet it might be worse if you had a cabin directly above the music.
We had a room on Deck 5 right above Evolution in January and called down to guest services at midnight about how loud it was. They brought us a fan for the room and it helped some but that bass was strong! Thanks for sharing that.
It's another oddity of the Triton-class ships that there are cabins that would be so affected by the evening activities. I've heard of cabins right below the pool deck on the older ships getting some noise from set-up in the morning and activity during the day, but I don't recall reading about rooms directly above the theaters/clubs on those ships being affected at night in the same way as the rooms on the newest ships apparently are.
yes. Right above mickeys mainsail. It was the only verandah cabin left when we booked. We thought it should be quiet, but we could still hear the loud thumping bass. It could’ve been coming from Sarabi or Skipper society. Decks 3, 4 and 5 are so open that sound really travels.I am really surprised you could hear it in 6090. Isn't that room above Mickey's Mainsail and a good distance from Sarabi?
For the first time ever, we also had bad neighbors last week. It was a family with 2 small kids that literally screamed on their verandah at different times during the day and night. They also brought a speaker out onto the verandah and played loud music. We were on Magic last week and our neighbors had loud conversations (literally, not a euphemism here) every night until after midnight. Hey there people - the headboard of your bed lines up with ours. Was really awesome the night before debarking as we drove home to Virginia from Port Everglades the next day on 4 hours sleep.
So funny enough everytime I have walked by Luna when they are having their Club Luna night- it is either completely empty or under 10 people in there. However silent DJ seems more popular and would save the cabins from the noise.I found it interesting that the music with the bass was going so late at night. My DCL experience has been not much happening after 10pm - maybe the Treasure/Wish are more “happening”!?
Those speakers shouldn’t be allowed anywhere outside. IMHO.
Darn it, I’m going to end up on one of those river cruises for old people soon. . .![]()
They had a band called the Dublooners in skipper society most nights. They played sets from 5:00 to 10:30 or so. They were actually very good. But they were also very loud.I found it interesting that the music with the bass was going so late at night. Yes. We normally cruise the fantasy and it is dead late at night. Not the case with the treasure. There were people everywhere all the time.So funny enough everytime I have walked by Luna when they are having their Club Luna night- it is either completely empty or under 10 people in there. However silent DJ seems more popular and would save the cabins from the noise.
Luna is on deck 4. So I wonder how accurate this review actually is?The Points Guy (travel blogger) just wrote a very comprehensive review on this cabin - beware being above a nightclub named Luna?

It is on deck 4 and 5. It is two stories with a balcony section. I really dislike that space (the balcony always being open makes the sound travel and kids can walk by during Match Your Mate) but it makes sense they could hear it from Deck 6.Luna is on deck 4. We have had this happen now-twice, last two cruises (Wish, and most recently the Magic). The loud music on the veranda. At Lookout Cay, yelling, literally screaming, from the veranda to those they knew on the long pier... Screaming baby (I know, hard to control) at 6am. But their own, very loud adult voices, both in the cabin and right outside the door. Not just in passing, but it sounded like a party out there. I guess it comes with the cruising experience, or any time you stay at a hotel etc. I wish people would be more mindful of others- especially when you are in the hall-late at night or early morning. These were shorter cruises, never had an issue on the longer ones. But considering bringing my sound machine for my back to back this summer. For the first time ever, we also had bad neighbors last week. It was a family with 2 small kids that literally screamed on their verandah at different times during the day and night. They also brought a speaker out onto the verandah and played loud music.
I went to guest services because we could not use the verandah that we paid for due to their terrible behavior. Security was sent to talk to them and they straightened up after that.
The experience was bad enough to make me question paying so much extra for a verandah that can be made unusable by terrible neighbors.
