Disney Winter rates for hotels

The Disney rate special for hotel stays Sunday through Thursday night was open to everyone today. It was previewed on Disney visa last week.


They did change my rate to match the lower one since I had already booked my vacation package.

In my experience you usually have to call and request the lower rate.

Sorry forgot to add that part. Yes I called Costco and they adjusted it. Very polite and no problem.

Good to know that Costco will honor rate changes! I knew AAA used to and that WDTC does. I'm in planning stages and Costco is one of the options I'm looking at. It's higher than booking separately and I just can't decide if the gift card and vouchers (we'd use them 'elsewhere', we're not into character meals) are worth the additional cost.

I just called Costco this morning and they wouldn't. My rate through Disney visa still ended up better than what they could offer. Did I get someone who didn't know better?

ETA: Called back, booked a new reservation and it's even a better rate! LOL $200 cheaper and the dining and gift card are now included. I have now booked 4 reservations. But hey, saved me 900 from where I started!

I got an email offer on Oct 21st, but I don't have a Disney Visa. My husband got the same offer the week BEFORE I did. I have a theory when you book often through Costco, Disney sends offer emails before they're released to the public.

Thanks for the info. It turns out I did get a similar offer, but we do not arrive until December 19. Go at the craziest time of year, you can't expect a discount on the hotel.

So I called about the Visa offer but since we check in on January 2nd they recommended I wait until the deal went public so I could have one reservation rather than 2. Looks like check in still has to be on the 3rd and would require 2 reservations anyway... Just rambling I guess.

There's a new offer today for Jan 3rd to 3/31~ not your dates but maybe a Spring trip?
