Disney Welcome Package

Disney told me on the phone that i would recieve a welcom package as they called it for my trip next month by mid June. It still hasn't come. I don't know what this package includes. So i don't know if it is important or not.
i have been thinking of calling them but i just wanted to ask if anyone knew what this package imcluded.

It likely includes luggage tags, a certificate for Planet Hollywood (I think $15 off), a free round of mini-golf, a certificate toward renting a mouseboat... hmmm can't remember anything else.

Yeah, that's all I really remember in there (plus it has your vacation info in it)

No worries if you don't get it. They will just give you one when you check in. (thats what happened to us)

For some reason they sometimes do not send these "packages" to Canadians but instead have them waiting for you at check in. But if you call they'll just tell you it's been sent. But when you check in - they'll say how they usually hand deliever canadian ones.

But either way you'll get one, but it's not needed before you go.

When we have received the package in the past it's usually postmarked 3 weeks before it arrived - who knows why it takes so long in the mail! Probably the reason why they just give it to us when we arrive! One time we arrived without receiving our package and they gave us one at the front desk - then got home and found one in our mailbox!

Yeah, last time we went it didn't arrive until 5 days before we left. Hang in there - I'm sure it will be there any day now.

yes, you may be fine by receiving it at the desk upon check in. but if you intend to use their Magical Express from the airport don't you need those luggage tags?!? they can spot the luggage going to the resorts by those all yellow tags. so if you do plan on using the Magical Express i highly recommend you call them today. they will priority post it for you. thats what they did for us last year. Just a suggestion

I don't have this issue yet.. but I fear I might (for my November trip)...

Last year was my first trip and I got many invoices in the mail from Disney: One when I booked my trip, when I paid the deposit, when I got a discount code and the ammount changed, etc... but this year I'm not getting ANY mail from disney. I booked my trip in April and have yet to recieve any invoices. I'm concerned that I may not get the welcome package.

That ME tags are in a seperate mailer from the welcome package. And so far, I havn't heard many issues from Canadians of these not being delievered. (we've always gotten ours)

Ours came a few weeks ago by Priority Post, and we leave in under two weeks.

Hubby thought is was garbage and almost threw it out!!

Glad to hear it arrived! It may be nothing critical to your trip, but it's always nice to get some Disney mail!!!

Do you have to book a package to get this or will I get it with a room only ressie?

You don't need the magical luggage tags as long as you have the reservation number.

We got our magical express luggage tags via UPS (so it was a good thing someone was at home to receive it!) about 6 weeks before we leave. I had originally booked a vacation package with all those "extras", but changed it to a room only reservation to keep the costs down (it was a minimal savings, not worth it in hindsight though). Plus this way I didn't have to pay for my vacation before going, and I only had to pay for first night's stay. I had planned on buying my park tickets at the Disney store at par, but I am not having any luck in securing adults base tickets! Oh well, I'll just buy them when we check in. Sadly, our dollar has dipped ever so slightly, but it's still pretty good.
