Disney weddings

My partner and i are looking to get married at Disney Florida and i was wondering if anyone has any tips, or has anyone been married there and what was the experience like.

we are getting married on sept 2nd this year, we are having a disney wishes wedding. We went over for our planning session on 4th feb and met with our planner

we got married in disney in 2005 and it was wonderful. We had what they then called an intimate wedding (less than 15 guests). The ceremony was in the wedding pavilion (which is beautiful) and then we had the champagne reception and cake cutting on the verandah at the Grand Floridian and then a meal at Victoria and Alberts (Grand Floridian hotel). The whole day was amazing and i would recommend all of these venues. Victoria and Alberts have a private room you can hire for a small group (up to 20 i think) and they let me choose how i wanted the tables laid out. They also put our wedding favours out and name cards etc..... on the tables all ready for when we arrived - i just dropped it all off the day before. They also have a harpist playing in the restaurant every night - which is a bonus as you get to enjoy that too.

I had disney organise people to do my hair and make up (and the bridesmaids) and the stylists were really professional and did great jobs.

Disney also did my flowers, and they were beautiful.

and were really really pleased with the results. The photos that disney did as part of the wedding package were nice, but i would have been disappointed if that was all we had had - as there weren't many, and they only covered the arrival at the ceremony. I'm not sure if they now do a 'fuller' photo package.

We got married in Disney in December 2006. It was really amazing, Disney did a great job and we really had a day we'll never forget.

Hi, We got married in 1998 at the Wedding Pavillion, followed by a buffet lunch reception at the Grand Floridian and then a sit down dinner and disco again in the same room of the Grand Floridian. My dad surprised me with Cinderellas Coach to go to the ceremony and we had doves released upon exiting the pavillion. Chip n dale (my all time favourites!! ) helped cut the cake and then Mickey and Minnie came to start the disco and danced wih us all. We then went out on to the patio to see some of the Magic Kingdom fireworks. We probably had about 40 guests in total. We also used a disney photographer and videographer (both of which were expensive but well worth it - especially the videographer)

By the time you add everything up and the more 'extras' you have, it can become really expensive - but it will truly be the most special day of your life!!

we got married at the Yacht Club Gazebo April 2007 an intimate wedding and it was a fantastic day you wont be disappointed. The weddings board is great and like Beep said the amount of information and ideas that some of other brides have are amazing!

Hi, I got married at the wedding pavillion in June 2006. It was superb!!! Booked the intimate package through Virgin, and booked virtually everything else through them as well to save myself the hassle of dealing with loads of people! Highly recommend them - it went like a dream.
