Not sure if other people received the below email, but it is pretty interesting. It appears Disney is now allowing us to have a more personalized website we can change (compared to the one where we need to email Bill/John to make every change). It also seems that not everyone can create one - our "wedding planner" has to approve it before we can make any changes.

I want one of these even though i'm a 25 days out. I'm totally jealous. My website ended up having issues as is because they apparently changed the url after our save the dates from disney were sent out. About a month ago, my family tried logging onto my website from the save the dates to book rooms and it didn't work. :confused3

I actually DID get the e-mail, and was trying to register, but I kept running into a problem with the bride and groom name input.

Has anyone had this problem?

My DF and I had just set up a Facebook account (didn't have one until just 2 weeks ago-seemed too stalkerish for me), and this app would be so much help, if I could get the darned thing to work.

I put in a help request, but I'm still waiting. If anyone can offer help, I'd appreciate it.

I did receive this email as well. I have been on FB for awhile now but the DF has no account. I emailed our wedding coordinator asking if I could still sign up and go around having to enter in the DF. I don't find it fair that he would have to join FB in order for me to sign up. I was very disappointed in this :sad2:. I hope this will change. **cross fingers**

Does it show up with Facebook at the top of the page like that? I dont really like that, are you still able to get the regular website if you want to? Thanks.

DFTW is supposed to be phasing out the regular site, so if you don't already have it you probably won't get it. :confused3 But I'm sure it doesn't hurt to ask your planner! :wizard:

i can't really figure out if this supercedes the DFTW site or is in addition? i've opted out as we, in our initial excitement, made a knot website AND have the DFTW website, which we weren't initially going to use, but it does have the direct links for travel info. however, we too have had problems with the disney website in general as far as the registry etc... so i can imagine it will goof up on folks as well.

Yeah I'm the same. DF doesn't want a FB page. So we'll probably have to miss out on this.

Facebook and all the ads do show up unfortunately.

As for phasing out the old website, it is a good question because through the site our guests can get the discounted tickets and your guests would at least need a link for that.

The one big plus, you can give people rights to make changes. While there isn't much to do now, my two MOHs can add all the photos for me :thumbsup2

If anyone has facebook and is curious how they look, here is ours

Facebook/Disney Wedding Page

As a heads up, it will ask you to download the app

Your Wedding is only 4 days after ours. Maybe we will see you at Disney!

I've set up this app and had to notify my planner in order to get all of the parts to work. She said she didn't automatically get notification when we sign up :confused3. I really like the app but for some reason nobody has returned my RSVP's that I sent out, lol. I might need to remind them.

I really wish that we could get around this. I still have not heard from the Wedding Coordinator yet so maybe she can help us out. Like you said, guess we will have to miss out on this.
