disney wedding watches

I didn't know about them and was totally surprised. Randy got a good picture of us with them. We wear them but right now both need replacement batteries. Rick's also needs another link taken out.

I thought it was meant to be a surprise, but I just hope they don't change it before my wedding! I have a real thing for watches. Do you all just display yours, or do you wear them?
We've worn ours a few times. Unfortunately, after the jeweler removed all the links he could remove mine is still too big and I don't like watches rolling around on my wrist so I don't wear it all the time. We wore them to Disney a few months ago and several cast members commented on how rare they are and how you can only get them if you have a DFTW (and I guess on e-bay!). I think they're beautiful and they are two-tone so even if you don't wear yellow gold (I wear white metals) it still looks nice.

I took the "insides" out of the box they came in and the box has become the home for our champagne cork, my garter, the dime from my shoe (family tradition), a dried rose from my bouquet (the only flower that survived from my bouquet :sad2: ) and some Mickey confetti.

They were a complete surprise for us too and I love the picture of us opening the box - the Disney photographer captured the moment of my jaw dropping very well :rotfl:

Plus I’ve noticed if you look at everyone’s pictures on here ...there is normally a shot of it....

Now THAT's a surprise I don't think I know about!!!!

Really, because nearly every single Disney album that brides post the link to have the pic on there?

I never heard of the photography pin either. Maybe you don't notice it when looking at other people's pictures unless you're looking for it or know what it is :confused3

We occassionally wear ours, usually for nice nights out or on trips to the Disney parks. We did have links removed as they were too big. I just dug ours out of where we keep them and found that the batteries died, so we're packing the watches and hope to pick up new batteries on our trip this week.

It was a complete suprise to us too. At the time that we got married we didn't know anyone who had already had a FTW at Disney so we weren't expecting anything.

Why did your jeweller say he couldn't take out any more links? The links on mine all look the same... not like they're two types (like another watch I've had where you could only take out some of the links)... I'm not sure why the jeweller would have to stop at any point.

Maybe I shouldn't ask, but I still don't know what a photography pin is :confused3

Sorry if that is a surprise, honestly don’t know if they always do it or if they even have them any more. But disney photography has there own collectors event pin (pintrading).......Like i said I don’t know if its something they always give out or if its just because when we originally spoke to our photographer my DH wore his silly pin trading lanyard .....but at the end of our wedding our disney photographers gave us the pin....(you'd of thought DH won the lotto :rotfl2: )........Just saying above that the photographers made that out to be a wonderful gift and our watches were just left on the table with no mention of them.....again sorry if that is considered a surprise and please don’t assume they always do this….. someone will have to let me know if they do …..

That's funny...I read my whole contract line by line, as did my parents (we are lawyers and it's in the training) and I don't remember knowing about the watches. I knew that we got a gift, but forgot about it. My planner gave it to us after our rehearsal. It was just dh (dfh then)and I and the planner and he handed it to us. I was so excited...we plan on wearing them during our upcoming anniversary/honeymoon trip. We just took them to the jeweler to have the links taken out...I had the same problem that he took out as many as he could and it is still a little big...so we will only wear them to our special dinner at California Grill!
