Hi all, I'm getting married on the Grand One Yacht this spring and then taking the wedding party to Epcot for the afternoon to enjoy the flower festival as our reception. Between the two, I'm trying to take them all to lunch and I'm looking for suggestions.

Here is where it gets tricky
1. We are limited to three areas (grand Floridian yacht/beach club/ boardwalk, or inside Epcot) otherwise, it's going to be a mess of moving people too many places and it's going to eat up the day.
2. We aren't looking for counter service, but spots like Le Cellier an Chefs De France are outside of our price range.
3. One member of the party is deathly allergic to rice, so that eliminates Japan, China, and Mexico.
4. I'd like for us to be in a spot where we won't have to yell to hear each other (so, no biergarten).

Right now, the only viable idea I can come up with is the Grand Floridian Cafe. I'm open to any ideas, tips, or suggestions.
- Thanks.

Have you looked at the lunch menu at the new Ale & Compass Restaurant in the YC ? My experience at park restaurants is they are trying to turn the table quickly so a hotel restaurant would be better.

Just a note about the rice issue- there's a good possibility rice will be served at many restaurants. At Teppan Edo - although there is rice served it is in a separate bowl for each person - not mixed with any other food. If you might otherwise consider eating there it may be an option that could work.

I would go to the Grand Floridian & do a lunch at either the Garden View Tea Room or 1900 Park Fare.

We had our Welcome Party at 1900 Park Fare & it was awesome! I was even able to order a surprise Groom's cake for my DH from the GF Bakery & they brought it out after dinner :)

I think its way easier to keep people all together & organized at the hotel, as opposed to the park. Guests can hit the parks together or on their own if they want afterward.

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Biergarten at Epcot. It was super fun! Right afterward, we headed over to our Illuminations Dessert Party.

ETA: You might want to also check in on the Disney Wedding & Honeymoons sections of the Disboards. Tons of past, present, & future Disney wedding planners who will have a ton of great advice for you! I could not have planned our wedding without the support of that board!

Grand Floridian Cafe is a lovely restaurant with very good food. You really can't go wrong there. Ale & Compass at YC would also be a good choice. At least when it was Capt. Grille, it was always very quiet, especially at lunch time and had very good food. In EP, I would suggest looking at Spice Road Table. The food is very good and the staff are amazing. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and it's an absolutely lovely restaurant right on the water. It is not loud and the food is excellent.

If you're looking for something with an upscale feel without the price tag, I'd sat look into Ale and Compass at YC, Spice Road at Epcot or Via Napoli in Italy. Big River Brewery at Boardwalk is nice too if you are into the micro-brew thing. Major sports fans? Try ESPN at Boardwalk or for something really different, Beaches and Cream at YC.

What time are you getting married? would a late breakfast or brunch option work?- if so you might want to think about 1900 park fare, or chef Mickeys... Breakfast is typically the least expensive meal of the day.

Make sure to include the allergy on whatever ADR you make to be safe.

I would rethink Japan - Teppan Edo - the rice is served on the side in a separate bowl, also there is a room in the back that you might be able to request sitting at, we have sat back there twice and it is a bit less loud than the front rooms, If You think you want to do this I would go talk to then in person the day before to see if this might be a option.

Spice road tables is a great spot for tapas and sharing so this might help with the budget.

The Grand Floridian Café is really a nice setting, and the food is very good. Kona at the Poly or the Wave at the Contemporary... would be a monorail ride away.

During Flower and Garden - its has the same set up as during food and wine... not as many kiosk's but still plenty to try, you could get everyone a gift card to try whatever they wanted and drink and eat together while going thru the park... I am assuming that your wedding party and guests are not a large party... this way everyone can get what they want and you can enjoy just celebrating and being with everyone and not worry about the bill at the end of the meal...

In budgeting I would plan on around 35 to 50 dollar per person, more if adult beverages will be enjoyed. My DH and I just had dinner Christmas night at Chef de France, and the bill was 160.00, with appetizer, entrée, dessert, and some adult beverages... it adds up quick.

With the tip it is automatically added with party of 5 or more...

Also you might want to check the swan and dolphin... and see what they offer.

I agree with GF Café, it will be upscale but not LC prices, plus you can then maybe take some pics in your wedding clothes?
Another option if you wanted EP, I would suggest biergarten while its not upscale its big tables where everyone sits together and would be a fun atmosphere!
Another place in Ep I would suggest would be Coral Reef

There is a private room in The Boardwalk Inn called the Attic. There was a wedding rehearsal lunch there when we stayed in October and the room looked very nice. Being Disney, though, it is probably pricey to use.
