We JUST got engaged at the Magic Kingdom on the 13th and are looking to plan a Disney Wedding Escape Package late next year. We will have 2 infants on the guest list. Does anyone know if they count as a guest? If not, we can invite a few more family members.

My planner said under 3 doesn't count, but it never hurts to ask just to make sure :) congrats on your engagement!

I had 9 children at my wedding under the age of 5.

3 of them were infants, a 6 month, an 8 month, and a 14 month old. Then I had two that were under three, and the other 4 were three and five.

There has to be a definite head count, meaning I had 55 people at my wedding, including me and my husband. So there were 9 children and 46 adults. But in terms of being charged for anything, the 3 infants were not. We didn't order them meals and there was no charge for them with the cake or fireworks viewing. The two who were under 3 had meals, so we were charged for them and the 4 older ones.

Hope this helps, if you need more specifics, let me know! :-)

Oh! And if you're having children at the wedding besides the infants, might I suggest the kids table that I did. My wedding planner set up a separate table that was about a foot off the ground with pillows all around for seats. They covered it with a big white sheet of paper for a tablecloth. (This cost me a total of $10.) Then, I supplied boxes of crayons, coloring books, and Disney storybooks that I found at Walmart for $1. Every single parent praised me to no end for this table, and the kids LOVED it. They were so entertained all night. :-)

The concern is that, with the Escape Wedding, I can only have 18 guests. If an infant counts as one of those guests, I will have to choose to leave off some adults off the guest list. Food isn't an issue, as the escape wedding doesn't appear to have a plated reception.

Ask your planner. For our wedding, we had 60 people, including a 2 year old. All of our paperwork says 59 guests + Infant at no charge. Not one of our invoices or BEOs listed her as part of the guest count. We were not charged for her food (she got a kid's meal at no charge), she didn't factor into our guest count for any of the events we had (wedding, reception, rehearsal dinner, dessert party). I think you're probably ok, but you should ask your planner to confirm.

Would I be able to just call and ask that info? I don't have a planner yet bc I need to know this info before I can even choose Disney as a possible venue.
