I really miss the web cams that were in the parks. When I have been sent surveys I've always mentioned wanting them back. All they ever said was thanks for the info. Maybe if we all e-mail and ask about getting them back they would listen.

What where they...did they just show what was happening in the parks?
I don't ever remember seeing them..

There was one on Main St at the top of the flag pole. They were taken away for security reasons, I think after 9/11.

There are a couple I found here; one is a traffic cam of WDW and one is a webcam on Epcot from the top of the Swan.

The webcam from swan.. I can see the epcot ball.. wonder if we can see the fireworks at night LOL

They were actually taken down before 9/11. No reason was ever given. Cost cutting was one reason that people were guessing. Another was that the competition was watching the cams and could tell how many people were in the parks at any given time. I know there were a couple other reasons, but these are the ones that come to mind.

There was the one from main street Mk. Two from AK. Epcot and MGM had one each.

Yes I remember them too. They were taken down waaaaayyy before 9/11....security had nothing to do with it - There are webcams for very famous landmarks all over the world.

If I remember correctly, I think after a while they just never worked properly and they never really served a purpose.
