Is it worth going? Do they have good deals and a good selection? Most Disney outlet type places (sometimes they go in the outlets around here for a few months to get rid of things)... usually it is funky looking stuff and mostly adult clothes. I would probably want mostly kids stuff and/or toys.

I found it worth my time to go there, I found some good deals on past DLR shirts, hats, and small items for kids, some keychains, etc. I was on the hunt for a certain Princess Minnie mouse hat that was last years version, and they had it for $8, was $28 when it was in the parks, so got an awesome deal on that.

I love the outlet store!
We get our dd's costumes there for about $35 instead of the $70 in the park. :)
Plus I always find other cute outfits for her and lots of adult clothes for me.
In my opinion even if I find one thing I really liked I would have saved enough money to make it worth going.

How far is it from the park? Could it be walked?

It's about 5 miles from Disneyland (maybe a little less), but there are 2 freeways to get across. We just took a taxi, it only took a few minutes, and I believe the public transit runs right from Harbor Blvd to Orangethorpe Ave. (or close to it)

32.00 return by taxi from ffi
yes it was worth it for kids clothes, i didnt find much in adult.
would do it again
have fun

Hi
Does anyone have an address for the store please? Would love to go & have a look around when we go in November:)
thanks

Disney's Character Warehouse is located at 243 Orangefair Mall. You can call (714) 870-9363 to check hours, etc.

To get to Disney's Character Warehouse from Disneyland, go north on Harbor Blvd and cross Hwy 91. Make a right at Orangethorpe and another right at Pomona, which is a street that goes right into the Orangefair Marketplace shopping center. A Michael's store is right in front of you; drive toward it and then go left to get to the Character Warehouse, which is at the corner of the building.

The Anaheim Chamber of Commerce web site has a printable 10% off coupon for the Character Warehouse!

WHOA..ok..cab then..we drove by this in a cab from the Fullerton train staion to the park, but didn't realize it was that far :scared1:

You can take the #43 bus north on Harbor Blvd and get off at the Orangethorpe stop right next to In N Out Burger (hint!) then cross Orangethorpe to get to the store. This Gmaps Pedometer map shows the path. This Wikimapia map is centered on Harbor/Orangethorpe and so you can see some of the other stores in that area, such as Target. I recommend Ruby's Diner on the southwest corner of Harbor/Orangethorpe - http://www.rubys.com

Is there not a Disney Outlet store in Las Vegas, near the south end of the city somewhere?

Can anyone comment on this store?

Driving to Disney in Feb through Vegas.

I love going to the outlet.. it definitely has much better stuff than the traveling stores. We had one in our mall not too long ago and I was so excited to go only to find nothing but clothes, a few hats and a very few other assorted items I wasn't interested in.... I always come home from the outlet with a toy or two, maybe some pins and other neat things.

PP- regarding the outlet store in Las Vegas. Yes it is still there. I went this August and have been a few times in the past. I found this last time that the discounts were MUCH less. In years past I could get adult shirts for around $5 and hoodies for $12-15 dollars. This time shirts were around $12 and hoodies $28. in the parks they would probably be 20 to $50 so it was still a savings. There are disney crocs and some high end collectibles. Tons of High School Musical stuff. I found it to still be fun, but I definately did not buy as much as I have in years past.
