Disney Waitlist Dream or Reality

We arrive at Disney the 13th of April (the day after Easter). We have a 2 bedroom booked at OKW. Although it is a beautiful resort it was not our first choice. We are on the wait list for BCV, BWV & AKL. We have a 7 night reservation. Am I Disney dreaming to think my wait list will come through. I see people have been getting 2-4 nights that they have wait listed but I have not seen any threads about 7 nights during a peak week or any week for that matter. Is there hope or should I begin reading the threads on OKW?

I'm guessing that you don't want to move, and that's why you haven't taken whatever days are available during that week at a particular resort.

I have two little ones. This is our first trip EVER. We are so excited. I rented the points from a super nice couple. I do not want to move during out trip. So OKW will be beautiful. Thanks for the pixie dust. It doesn't hurt to throw some my way.

I'd say April is still over 6 months away, so you never know. Plans change, you got on the waitlist early & have listed 3 different choices, so I'll send you some pixie dust!

I don't know if its 1BR vs. 2BR availability, but when I called last Saturday to switch our 1BR SSR at the 7 month window (actually a day late) for April 19-25th, 1BRs were available at pretty much all resorts...we got AKV Savannah.

We just moved our reservation from SSR to VWL without a problem. Have you thought about staying there. We like the idea of being close to the Magic Kingdom so when the spring break crowds get too big we can easily go back to the resort

we were at our home resort until today.
April 26-may 2...called 7 months to the day at 9am
to see if they had any openings for BCV.
My catch was that we were not looking for a single studio or a single one bedroom. We needed a one bed and a studio ..if both arent avaiable then
then we would decline one of them.
So for ha has we called figuring we'd get absolutely nothing and low and behold they had openings for both requests....

It's possible-and if that's what you'd prefer, I hope it works out for you! If it doesn't, you will love the spacious villas at OKW, your kids will love the pool-when we were there last, the CMs seemed to have alot going on for the children-lots of activities and games. Either way, you will have a great trip, I'm sure!
