Disney w/baby and little ones

Can you all get to the front of the line and have the family take turns on rides while 1 adult stays with the baby or other too short kiddos? I have short kids and I know there are several rides with height restrictions.

You don't get to go to the front of the line immediately, but you can "switch off." Before getting on the ride, talk to the CM about switching off. Sometimes there is a pass, sometimes not. Either way, Parent #1 goes through the line like normal, and then when they get off, they trade with Parent #2, who has a drastically reduced wait time.
