Ok here's the showdown!

I am planning a trip for Universal and Disney, a four-day, five-night stay to be exact. I want to go to MGM, Epcot, Universal and Islands of Adventure. One of the days will most likely need to be on the weekend. The rest on wed-fri.

Ok so here's the question. In which order should I do the parks. I want to save the best park for last and dedicate one day to each park. I want to see if I can save the best for last. Any particular order you would do them in? I'm thinking...

Wed- Epcot
Thurs- MGM
Fri- IOA
Sat- US

I've not been to Universal or IOA yet...going soon... :cool1:

EPCOT was my favorite park at Disney with MGM a very close second. The Illuminations show at EPCOT is spectacular and I would suggest you stay until park closes and watch that. It would definately be a great way to end your trip.

Have a great time!

Are you staying on-site for US/IOA? If so, you definitely want to do those two parks last as you will hate standing in line at WDW after you've had FOTL access at US/IOA.

Epcot is a large park with a lot of ground to cover. I find I really need two days to do Epcot justice. MGM (or Disney Hollywood Studios as its called now) is a one day park for us. If you want to ride Toy Story Mania make sure you get there for rope drop and run right over to get fast passes.

The order I would go in is:

MGM
Epcot
US
IOA

If you are within 30 days of your trip or when you get within 30 days of your trip, you can check touringplans.com for its crowd calendar projections and recommended parks for the Disney parks. If you are planning on seeing Fantasmic at DHS - note that Disney reduced its showings in 09, on most weeks to 2 or 3 nights a week. The reports have been that park is very crowded on the days Fantasmic is showing and you will need to get to the show at least an hour ahead of time to guarantee yourself a seat. If you are not interested in seeing Fantasmic, you should schedule your DHS day on a day Fantasmic is not showing

Do you like rollercoasters? If not then imo Epcot, MGM, IOA, US. If you do then imo Epcot, MGM, US, IOA. Also imo would depend on the park hours and if you have fotl I think would be extenuating circumstances.

I'd do them as:

MGM
Epcot
US
IoA

I think seeing MGM and US back-to-back will only highlight the inferiority of MGM comparatively. Otherwise, I would have put MGM-US-Epcot-IOA. I love me some Epcot, but I have been to IoA only once, so it would be my top pick.

It all depends on what days you are going and what you like to do. Thinking about park hours and the amount of walking. We would go to US then Epcot then IOA and then MGM. We have been to them all and love them all.
Can't go wrong as long as you visit each one.
Have a great trip!! :cool2:
