DH asked me to e-mail Disney (which I did), but I figured I would come to the experts. Why are the "10 day, park-hopper, no expiry" tickets $20 cheaper at Ticketmania? For my family that's $100 savings for our December trip. He believes that "if it seems to good to be true...etc.), and is very skeptical of Ticketmania. Just wondering why isn't Disney as cheap online as Ticketmania?

TicketMania gets a discount by buying tickets in bulk (directly from Disney.) I have had a great transaction with TicketMania, and so have many other DISers. Just use the search feature here and you'll find a million other threads about them. Best wishes! :goodvibes

Oh, and you can save even more by using the special TicketMania link found in the MouseSavers newsletter...

Ticketmania is WONDERFUL! I purchase the 10 day non expiry ticket too from them! They also make copies of your tikcet and keep them on file. I had misplaced my tickets and they were able to locate them copies I had on file and Provide me a copy so I could get new tickets reissued!
Plus sign up for Mousesavers newsletter which comes out the 15th of every month and there is a link to take u directly to all the great deals at TicketManina for MouseSavers Members!
Have fun!

Plus with Ticketmania tax and shipping is included in their price and with Disney it's extra

But, why do you think Disney doesn't have the same prices on their website? Do you think they figure no one will find out about Mousesavers? Except the thousands here at the DIS!

I guess to make money. The yfigure people are going to buy from them anyways who are maybe not aware of these special wholesalers who have great deals such as TicketMania and other resources.

Either way, I am NOT going to be purchasing my tickets from Disney directly ever again. :smooth: Saving the extra 100 dollars allows us to have EVEN more fun in Disney!

Disney figures (correctly) that there is a cost associated with ticket distribution. If someone else wants to accept some of the distribution costs, and pass some of the ticket profit to customers, it doesn't bother Disney.

I would suggest not ordering tickets until you are about a month or less out from your trip though.

You will notice a number of posts on the board from people who bought there tickets early, and then a discount from Disney came out that included tickets.

There are fairly firm rumors about upcoming discounts, and it's not known what they will be, or what time period they will cover.

If you are SURE you are going to stay off site, then order away.

Ticketmainia, and Mapleleaftickets both appear to have a good reputation on this board.

I don't think this is included in Disney's prices. Ticket mania does include tax and free shipping.

Can you add tickets purchased from Ticketmania to your room key if you are staying on site?

No, the only tickets you can have added to your room key are those included with a package or those you purchase at the resort at time of check-in. Pre-purchased tickets from Disney's web site, the Disney Store, or ticket brokers like TicketMania and Maple Leaf cannot be added to your WDW resort room key.

One other note about buying tickets from a legitimate broker like TicketMania or Maple Leaf: if you have a partially-used ticket from TM and want to trade it in for credit towards purchase of a new AP, you will only be credited for what TM paid Disney for the ticket, not for what you paid TM for the ticket.

Aside from that, I can highly recommend TicketMania as a legitimate source of not only Disney passes, but Pleasure Island and DisneyQuest tickets, and Universal, SeaWorld, Wet-n-Wild, and dinner theater tickets in Orlando.

I also love the resort delivery option, which means your tickets will be waiting for you when you check into your Disney or non-Disney resort.

Ticketmania has been a good source of tickets for us. The last one I ordered I had to pay to have it delivered to the hotel because there wasn't enough time to ship it. I put down the wrong hotel - between family and friends I was having trouble keeping track of who was where and when. They called me to tell me that Disney did not have the reservation - that is when I was really glad I had used them. It was my mistake but they caught it two days early so they were able to get the ticket there in time for my daughter to pick it up. If you have time definitely sign up for the mousesavers newsletter as that makes the price difference even more if you use the special link.

Ticketmania is a great place to order tickets. Subscribe to the Mousesavers newsletter at www.mousesavers.com. It comes on the 15th of the month, and they have been having an additional discount on the 10 day no expire park hopper for the last several months.
