I'm sorry to make a separate post but the stuck post doesn't seem to get many new posts and I didn't want this overlooked.

My breakfast vouchers arrived today with 2005 exp dates (YIPPPEEE!). According to Disney and Chef Mickey's, my 2 younger sons will pay child prices but the vouchers say for children 3-9. My sons are 8 and 11. Will this be an issue at Chef Mickey's?

11 and under are considered children as far as meals go. When I made my Chef Mickey and Castle ressies I told them the ages of the children going, 14, 14, 10 and 6, they said the 10 y.o. would pay the child price. I believe Disney's website states 11 and under is considered a child, too.

We were just there. When we ate at full service restaurants like Hollywood & Vine, Liberty tree tavern. An 11 year old pays the kids price and 12 pays the adult price.

Does that mean if the voucher says 3-9 and your child is 11, you can still use the children's breakfast voucher? I called WDW also, and they said 11 is still child's price, but can you use the vouchers?

Frann, that was the point of my question. I'm guessing here, but it seems reasonable that the vouchers say 3-9 because that is the kids ages for park tickets and so they just say the same. I'm going to keep the two kids vouchers but I won't be using them til our Christmas trip so I can't report back for a while.

As expected, they weren't really sure, but suggested to get the child's voucher. I didn't get the woman's name because I don't think it would help if there was a problem. I figured that was the OPs question, but there was no clear answer...
Anyway, when you make the reservations, you will be making a child's reservation for your DS11. When you pay, you will be giving a child's voucher. I think that would be the end of that, unless your DS looked much older than 11. My DD is very slim and short, and she'll have only turned 11 3.5 months before our trip. I will have to buy her an adult AP, but she is still a kid as far as WDW dineries go. I guess I should take advantage of that during this trip....when she eats, she gets all our money's worth!!!
We are going in Sept, so I will try to remember to post what happens. Unfortunately, none of the ressies are made yet and the meal vouchers have not been purchased. Guess its time to start!

I didn't even notice that discrepancy when we had the vouchers. I used them for my 11 year old no problem. At 11 they pay adult prices for tickets but child prices for food. So, I didn't even pay attention. At all of our character meals (chef mickey, princess, cinderella, cape may, crystal palace, donalds) I used 2 adult and 2 kids vouchers and no problems.
