I do not have a Disney Visa, but I have a friend who does. This friend wants to sell her reward debit card for less than it's worth on Diney property ($500 gift crad for $400 cash) - she recently lost her job and any $ would be helpful. Awesome deal for me since we'll be spending 3 weeks at WDW this summer. How does this card work? Can it be issued under my name even though it's not on the account? Can it be used at the resorts to pay for the dining plan? used at restaurants? Any information would be great. Thanks!

when does her card expire?

We just got a disney visa card= (this card allows us to get into a seperate character place for disney visa holders for interaction plus a free photo.

Our disney rewards card should pay for anything in disney-- if we make charges using our room key we can use the disney card to pay the room down.

Since I never got a card with points on it yet- Im not sure if a name is on it.
If not-- if i lost a card--anyone could use it? are they not supposed to ask for ID when you are using this card? (Like I said, I never got a card with points on it yet so I am asking for myself-)

Can disney gift cards be bought with her card ahead of time?

I'm at work and my rewards card is at home... but I'm pretty sure that it has my name on it. On the other hand, I don't remember being asked for ID when I used it.

Basically you can use the rewards card to pay for anything Disney, from park tickets to meals to souvenirs. To make it easy, what I did was I charged everything to our room key, then used the rewards card to pay off the hotel bill.

I think serene56's idea of using the rewards card to buy gift cards is brilliant and definitely the way to go if you're at all worried about the rewards card not having your name.

I'm glad this sounds like a win-win situation for both you and your friend!

Does anyone know....when you have Visa send you your card, approximately how long do you have to use it before it expires?

The reward card is good until Dec 31 of the year following it's issue.

Further to that, I just stumbled on a link to for and offer to get a $100 gift card when you apply for a Disney Visa.

at Disneyworld in March/April. Not once was I asked for my ID when I used it in the parks or at a restaurant at the Disney Marketplace. Just hand the card to the vendor, they run it through like a credit card and give you a receipt that shows the balance remaining.

It was so enjoyable not paying a dime for food or souvenirs in the parks for days!

$1.00 for every $100.00 spent I guess 100 points will be 100.00
