Is there any advantage to getting a Disney Visa? Has anyone who has and uses it received pins or discounts?
I don't really need another credit card but if having this one tags me for special discounts I would definitely be interested.
Thanks!

in DTD and the same savings at Disney shopping online but that was a code I think.

If you go to Disneyrewards.com, it shows all the advantages to the card. I also know that last year the free dining was offered to Visa members a few days before the general public. Also, they had a bonus free dining event announced in Sept. ? for Nov-Dec available to Visa members only. HTHS!

We just got a Disney Visa right before our Nov. trip to get the free dining. So far, we are already up to $90 towards our next Disney trip. You can use it to pay off room balances, tickets, and food (etc.).:goodvibes

We were able to go over Christmas last year with free dining because of our Disney Visa. We also had enough points to pay a large chunk of our hotel bill. It is definately worth it for us. We were in Epcot on Christmas Day and got to see Mickey, Pluto and Goofy at the Disney Visa Charcter Spot, only a 10 min wait, the line in the regular area was hours.:cool1:

If you don't mind the threadjack, I have a question, too. Is there a cap on the rewards?

In the past there had been but when I called last year and ask they told me no it had been removed. I dont know if that was just temporary or if is still the same. In years past we would max out the rewards we could get, we tend to put everything on the card and pay everything off at the end of the month. This year we were able to use it all.

Disney VISA, s at times, also offers 5 times the Disney dollars on various purchases. We earned quite a few extra dollars last year. Currently there is a $100 Disney dollars ( or it might be a Disney gift card) if you open a new card. I found this on a link on the AP section on WDW site and my husband applied since he didn't have a card.

There is also zero intereset for 6 months on vacation packages/cruises booked with the card and if you do use the card for other purchases and pay them each month Disney Visa applies the pmt to the additional charges first not the Zero balance which is grest. There are also discounts on behind the scenes tours 15 or 20 percent off some. The free dining offer was great last fall and it actually went through Christmas as long as the first day of stay was by Dec 20 of last year.

You guys have convinced me to get the Disney VISA. I hope it arrives before our trip March 22nd. You guys should get a kickback.
Thanks for all the advice.:goodvibes

Make sure when you apply you do it through a link to get some type of gift card for opening it. The most I've seen is the 100 for opening and my husband just did it. If you can't find one, do you have a friend that can refer you? You will get 25 and your friend 25. I also think there is a deal offered on WDW site for 40. Good luck in finding one!!

Can you post the link for the $100 Disney gift card when applying for the Disney VISA card?

I found a $15 reward for new cardholders, but that's it. The $100 does appear to just be for DVC members, darn it. I'm off to check out the $40 offer.

We are not DVC members and my husband applied while signed on to AP section of WDW site. This link gave the 100 gift card as well. One thing I did find out about JPmorgan/Chase and it was verified today with them is that they are now charging a $10 month fee for those that use a convience check or get a balance transfer. Just to let you know. It doesn't apply to the 6 months interest free with Disney vacations, just the other types of offers.

I' ve seen the 40 offer on the WDW site. Also, if you know someone with the Disney Visa they should be able to give their promo offer number so you both get 25!

I don't know anyone with the card, that I can think of anyway. I think I'll start asking all my friends!

There is a phone number on the link through the AP section and it's 1-800-496-0869 with a code of C9BN. It doesn't say you have to be an AP holder to receive the offer so I would just try it. Good luck

And when I looked this up I saw that the annual limit for Disney Dollars is on 10,000 just to let others that have asked know. I think that when there is a special offer that is in addition to the 10,000 limit on earning DD
