How do you use your reward dollars from your card? In another thread some people said they use it on MF.

I was thinking of using it towards park tickets, but if I purchase a 5 day ticket can I pay for some of it with the reward dollars and then pay off the difference?

I was also wondering if we could use it to pay for meals?

We use ours to buy our annual passes. Between the DVC discount and the visa dollars we usully only need to add about $50 cash for two adult AP...

Normally it's a souvenir fund, but next trip it will be for meals and snacks. We prefer to use it as bonus funds for fun things, but since we added on two days we're using the money for the extra meals.

I prefer to use up the entire balance in one transaction. When we paid our dues as a lump sum, I would apply the reward dollars towards our dues. We pay our dues monthly now so now I use it on our trips. I stop by the front desk and apply the reward dollars to our resort bill. We charge everything to our room on our stays so I use the reward dollars as a credit towards what we owe. I just prefer to use it all up at once rather than having to carry the reward card around and use it to pay for individual meals.

I use the rewards card to purchase the DDP, it's great it covers the cost of the plan and all my meals are paid for.

We pay our M.F. in one lump sum (Dec./Jan.) and apply our rewards toward that and the balance on our cc (to get more rewards).

If we have a DCL cruise booked - we will use them for our on-board bill.

We have done the above two so far.

and while the DDP is too much food for me, i do use my reward dollars for dining at wdw.

We use the rewards towards our maint fees! Just called to have the rewards put on my card. We have enough to pay over half the maint fee this year!

We use our reward dollars towards our resort credit card.

In the beginning of your stay you can apply them as a credit. It pays for anything you charge to your room key.

While we don't have too many reward dollars, it is nice to not see such a large bill at the end of a great vacation.

I currently have 900 reward points and we are planning to use the points toward the DDP for the four of us. I can't wait!!! Now that Christmas is done, we can concentrate on our trip. It will be here before we know it, and then....it will be over (sniff sniff) . Then... , I will just have to plan for the next one. Life is so wonderful when you have Disney to look forward to!

I'm just asking because our mailbox got buried by the snowplow this past weekend and besides my electricity bill being in there, I'm worried that there are other bills in there that I don't know about. I'm looking to use my reward points to help pay for my MFs too.

P.S. My boss has a DV card and I asked him how many reward points he has. He said 3500!! That means he's spent $350,000 on it right? He said he has never gotten postcard in the mail for bonus rewards. It's the only credit card he uses, or should I say his wife uses.

We are new to DVC so others may be more informed but I just noticed the dues on the member website. It says...

Annual Dues are due on January 15, 2009. Late fees and interest will be assessed after February 14, 2009.


I am not sure if we will get anything in the mail? We will be paying online so I as not concerned about getting it in the mail.

We use ours to pay down our Room tab . We charge everything to the room and when it gets high to take the entire amount I just go to the front desk and have then do it right then.

I have a Disney Visa but know nothing about a Reward Plan until about a week ago. How do I use my reward dollars? For example, if I have $50 to use, how do I redeem it? Do I need to call Visa and ask them to mail me my $50 check or gift card? I just came back from WDW. I could have use it then.

If I remember correctly, you need to have at least 20 reward points and you order a Disney Reward card. This takes a week or so. This card also has an expiration date (is is two years?). When you have accumulated points, you then have your reward points from your cc transferred onto your Reward card via telephone or on-line. It's very easy. Just make sure you use them before your card expires or you will loose them.

You then use your reward card to pay for whatever it can be applied to (DCL, DVC/WDW resorts, Maintenance Fees, etc.) just like a cc - if there is a balance, you can charge the rest on your cc.

I do the same as a few others have said, we charge everything to the room, then I take the Rewards cards to the front desk and pay the bill. I have even had a Free trip. We are using the next one for the Disney Cruise. We have 4 Disney Visas. We charge all our Business expenses on it. It does seem to add up. We are taking 11 people on a 7 day Disney cruise this Aug. I have not paid for Food on a trip in 3 years.

I think I have had my Disney Visa for 2 years. Did I lose any reward money? Is there an expiration like unused miles? Or are you saying that when I get the "gift card" that has the expiration? I have absolutely no idea on this. I just have the Visa to get ''discount" advertisement like the free Dining plan right before Christmas.
