Does the Visa offer for Free Dining happen before the public offering? Do we pay full rack rate for the room or can we use a discount?

Visa holders get first crack (though overseas REALLY gets FIRST crack)

Pay Rack Rate, but I was able to use AAA discount too, I think others have as well. I think sometimes it matters WHO the CM is for your reservation!

I'm confused. I don't understand how you can use a CM who works for Disney Travel for a AAA discount. Also, it's news to me that you can use any other discount with free dining. Could you explain, please.

Disney generally only allows one kind of discount on a package. So if there is free dining, you pay rack rate for the room and must buy at least a one day park ticket for everyone. Last year there were some people who said that they were able to get a AAA discount on the room as well as the free dining, others said this was not done. In general, Disney will not allow 2 discounts.
You can get a room only AAA discount directly through disney, but a package with a AAA room discount can only be made through AAA itself, so its hard to see how a CM could give the AAA discount with the free dining, since they should not be making package reservations for AAA rates. But who knows, if someone says it is done, maybe it was done.
