I love the points that I rack up on my Disney Visa card, but I detest having to call them for anything. Just received my latest reward card with the sticker, "Please call to activate. . . ." So, I call - didn't hear a choice for activating the card, so I press 0. Tell her the situation - no problem - I can do it for you. Ask the card number, my account number, my security code, my DH's social security number, my phone number, and then tells me she can't do it because I'm not the primary card holder.
"I'm sorry. It's an agreement we have with Disney. We could get in alot of trouble if we let you authorize it since you are not the primary card holder." Never mind that just yesterday you talked to me when you thought there were unauthorized charges (I spent way too much on Christmas shopping!
)
So, I hang up. Dial the 800 number again. This time - heard the prompt - did it all over the phone totally automated. So, I can give you all the correct information you're wanting and you won't authorize it. But anyone can get the card out of my mail box, call the number, key in the account number on the card, and it's authorized??
