Disney Visa Rewards

We have a trip coming up Nov 20th and I would like to use my disney visa rewards to help pay for tips and some alcohol beverages and souviners. My plan was to get my dollars put on a gift card. Does anyone know how long this might take to process so I have it in time for the trip or is it possible to just put everything on my room card and use disney reward dollars at checkout to help pay the balance without going through the hassle of getting the gift card?? I saw that when making payments on the vacation package this looked like a payment option. Thanks!

The booklet i got with my Disney Visa says it takes 3 weeks to get the reusable card in the mail. We are going in Sept. and just ordered the card the other day. I did see that you can get a card at certain places in WDW. I just ordered the card online (very easy BTW) because that way i didnt have to worry about finding the place while in WDW. You can order the card now and if you get more points before you go you can always add them onto your card before you leave

The Rewards Dollars cannot be spent until they are transferred to a Rewards Card. In order to do this for the very first time, you will need to have accrued at least $20 in Rewards Dollars.

I like to order the very minimum amount to be placed on a new card. That way if it gets lost in the mail, you are only out $20 ($10 if this is not your first card). Once you have the card in your hands, you can call Chase and have any amount transferred to the card (minimum $10).

You also need to be aware that a card that is ordered today will expire in December 2014. If there are any Rewards Dollars on the card when it expires, you will lose them. The Rewards Card is NOT a gift card and is not subject to the same laws that apply to gift cards.

Paying your vacation package online is only possible if you have transferred your Rewards Dollars to a Rewards Card. And again, Disney wants there to be at least $20 on the card for you to make a payment online.

You can also transfer the funds yourself through the Chase website. You can request a card through the website as well.
