I have about $80 that I'd like to redeem before our trip next month. If I redeem them this week when can I expect to get the g/c in the mail? Will I have it within the next five weeks?

How do I redeem the Disney Dream Reward Dollars® I've earned for most everything Disney?
You'll need a Disney Rewards® Redemption Card in order to start redeeming Disney products and offerings. As soon as you earn 20 Disney Dream Reward Dollars, you can order a Disney Rewards Redemption Card by clicking on the Manage My Account tab and selecting the "Order a Disney Rewards Redemption Card" option underneath your credit card, or by calling 1-800-300-8575 and asking the customer service representative to order a Disney Rewards Redemption Card. Activate your Disney Rewards Redemption Card when it arrives (approximate time of delivery is 2-3 weeks), and transfer your Disney Dream Reward Dollars to the card. Then, use it at participating Disney locations to redeem your Disney Dream Reward Dollars toward most everything Disney.


I am planning a Disney vacation. When should I request my Disney Rewards Redemption Card?
You will want to request your Disney Rewards Redemption Card at least three weeks before your vacation.

We got ours in less than a week after ordering.

We got ours 8 days after I ordered it. (Ordered on a Sunday, received the next Monday) I waited until after my statement closing date to order mine to have the maximum amount.

As a future tip, I usually order the card with the minumum amount of dollars on it ahead of time, and then transfer all remaining dollars to that same card at the last minute. The transfers are immediate, while getting the card can have a lag time. The cards were good for up to a year, and I assume that has not changed?

Rewards cards are good until Dec. 31 of the following year. So if you ordered one today, it would expire on Dec. 31, 2013.

Also, if you have a rewards card with rewards left on it and the expiration date is approaching, purchase a Disney gift card with the remaining rewards. Gift cards do not expire. It is better to use the rewards card and not a gift card because the rewards card can be replaced if lost or stolen(as long as it has been immediately reported). So do not buy a gift card with the rewards until it is necessary due to expiration.
