Disney VISA rewards

I have read somewhere that the Disney VISA rewards expire faster after they are put on a rewards card then if you hadn't redeemed them yet. Does anyone know how long they are good for after being put on the rewards card? I am taking a trip to Disney October 3rd - 9th, how early should I order my first reward card to ensure I get it before the trip but that it will still be good for the trip.

Yes they do have a different expiration time table once you put them on the rewards card. Generally it is the Dec of the year following your order. For instance, if you order now your card it should be good through end of 2011.

it is very easy to add them to an existing card. I would get the card with a minimal amount of dollars and add them during your stay. It just takes one phone call. Better than putting them all on the card and having remaining dollars you have to use.

Because I always come home from WDW with extra money

Hate to admit this, but we had $1,200 points on our card this year for a trip and spent every dime of it

Trust me although I sometimes consider it a "problem" to have money I dont know what to do with, espeically in the form of a gc or something that will expire, my husband is always VERY willing to solve it for me .
