How far in advance do y'all request your rewards card before you travel. We're inside 60 days now and I'm thinking I should contact them and get our points. :surfweb:

You can request the card now with the points you've earned so far, then if you earn any more, you can add those, by calling or going to the Web site. I was just re-reading the instructions, and it says allow 2-3 weeks for the card to arrive -- the rewards card is reloadable as you charge more on the VISA card (just call or go online -- you have to request the rewards; it doesn't happen automatically).

Good to know! I have a Disney Visa and have no clue how to redeem the reward points. If I have 50 reward points is that equal to $50? I need to call Visa and get more information.

Yes, it's $50 at Disney sites -- restaurants, shopping, etc.

And, just for fun, guess I could point out that my siggy photo is from the Disney VISA photo thing they were doing at Epcot this past year (I think that's over with now, tho).

The Disney Reward card takes about 10 days to receive, but once you have cleared your points you can not transfer points again until you have earned 10 or more new points. They will not transfer 9 points and under.

I don't have a Disney Visa... Is it worth having? Do you earn alot of rewards?

If you get the card early enough before your trip I think it is worth it. You get 1 reward dollar for every $100 that you spend. When we got ours I started charging everything on it, I figured if I was going to spend the money anyway I just assume get something back for it. After a while it really does add up, we will have most of our room paid for with our reward dollars b/c we have been saving them for 2 years!!

Of course the trick is, as with all credit cards, that you have to keep paying it off as well, otherwise you spend far more in finance charges than you earn in reward dollars.

Where do you call or go online to find out about the rewards? I tried calling the 800 number on the back of my card and the guy was literally reading from a piece of paper and could give me no informaiton about what the points could be used towards.

My question was, I've made my ressie's but wanted to use the points towards my room. Since I had to reserve using my credit card, can I still use my rewards card to pay for my room?

I can retrieve my info at www.chase.com. If you don't already have a login you can set one up in minutes. There is an icon to click to check how many reward points you have and how to get your rewards card.

It is my understanding you can use your reward points for anything at Disney -- just like you would a Disney gift card or Disney Dollars. We plan to use our points for some of our meals.

I have to agree with the above poster too -- make sure you pay your balance each month -- then the rewards mean something! :woohoo:
