Disney Visa Rewards question....

I just got my rewards card for my November trip. Can I charge to my room with our MB's and pay with my Rewards card at the end of the trip? Or do I need to pay with my rewards card as we go?

I'm not sure if you mean the Disney VISA or the Disney Rewards Card (the disney GC you get when you charge enough on the disney VISA)

Our experience (this summer) was that we needed to leave a CC with the hotel desk and when it got to a certain number of dollars (from charging things to the room) they'd charge that card. We had a pile of Disney Giftcards we wanted to use and so we'd stop down every other day and pay down our bill so that they wouldn't charge the CC.

So - if you are using your Disney Visa to pay for everything just leave that card until you check out. If you have a rewards card from already using your Disney Visa you'll need to use that prior to leaving or they may have already charged your visa.

Yes, you can apply your rewards card at the front desk. I used 2 in August, I went down about mid trip and applied them, before they charged our room charges to our credit card. No problems at all.

I went down the day before we left and paid some of our room charges with my Disney Rewards card.
A note though... if you are getting close to the resort's "max amount" to charge to a room, they will charge your credit card on file then and start a new "tab". I would say to go down to the front desk and use your rewards card once you think your bill is up to the amount you have on your rewards card, even if it's 3 days in.

Unless you're getting close to the resort max (which is different depending on resort category) the charges go through the night before you check out. It's early though - like before parks close, so like other have said, don't wait until the last minute.

Sometimes you can get lucky with "prepaying" with Rewards and gift cards, but it varies depending on CM.
