I have a question... I want to get a code and use it but I was told to just go ahead and book "room only" to save my room and so I can use the code... if I plan on using my Disney Visa for my vacation will they still give me the six months no interest deal? Or do I have to book room and tickets all together and pay all at once?

Another question, on my statement, will they separate my "monthly charge" from my "vacation charge" so that I can pay off my monthly charge and slowly pay off my trip?

You need to book a package in order to get the 6 months of 0% interest. If you book a room-only, you will be charged a one-night deposit which you must pay in full to avoid any interest charges.

If you book a vacation package, the 0% financing for your vacation balance will appear separately from your other charges on your bill. When I put my deposit down for my cruise, the statement showed the following:

• Description: QUALIFIED TRANSACTIONS
• Original transaction date: mm/dd/2005
• Promotional balance: $x,xxx
• Expiration of Promotion: mm/dd/2005

You will no incur finance charges on a qualifying transaction balance if you pay that balance in full by the specified expiration date. To avoid finance charges on new Purchases (other than the Balance Transfer and Convenience Checks, if shown on the back of this statement), pay your new Full Balance minus your total current qualifying transaction balances by your payment due date. However, we must receive at least the Minimum Payment by the Payment Due date, even if your only balance is your promotional purchases.

aka-mad the mouse, May I ask a question. When you put your disney cruise on your visa did you have any other purchases on there too? We put out disney package on our visa so we could get the 6 months APR. We also put everything else on our card too and pay it off monthly. My question is if we pay all of our purchases off except our package will we still get the 6 months APR? How will chase know what part of our bill we are paying?

We did have other charges on the account other than the cruise deposit but DH paid the whole amount off, so I have no personal experience with how they handle the 0% APR on vacations.

From the way the statement reads, I get the impression that they apply your payment to the other charges first and do not charge you any interest if you pay the vacation charge in full before the 6 months are up. You would also need to make sure that your account is always in good standing (no late or missed payments) in order to keep the 0% APR for those 6 months.
