Disney Visa Rewards on room key?

Not sure if this should go here or on the resorts board. I know they can attach a credit card to your room card so you can use it during your stay, but can they transfer your Disney Rewards to your room card, so you only have to carry the one card? And if we have any left over, we'd like to put it towards our room balance (room only ressie).~~

To answer your question....I'm not sure! But on my last two trips I handled it 2 different ways. Trip 1 was a package deal paid in full when I arrived. I used my KTTW card for 2-3 days and went to the front desk one night and told them I wanted to pay my charges and used my Rewards Card. Did it again before checking out. Doing this, I never carried around my rewards card. Trip 2 was also a package, but I am paying it off using no interest for 6 months. A few days before I left home I called and applied my Reward points to my balance.

Not sure if I helped you, but that is how I used my Rewards. BTW, on another trip I did carry the Rewards Card with me and used it at snack kiosks or in the shops for souvies.

I know that one time they took our credit card at check in (room only) and we didn't charge anything to the room key during our stay. The night before we left I tried to put the balance of our rewards towards our room balance and they said "oh, we already put that on your charge card", so then they had to do some fanagaling before they got it all straightened out. We plan on using all of our rewards, but I want to use them in the parks first, and put what's left towards our room.~~

I asked at POR when we went about a month ago about putting my rewards card on the room key instead of a credit card and I was told that they couldn't do that. I don't think it was a policy thing, just a limitation of the system in some way. The CM at the registration desk suggested that we could go to the front desk at any time and pay the balance that had been charged with the rewards card instead. I didn't end up doing that in the end and carried the rewards card in the parks with me and just used that insead of my room key, mostly because I didn't want them to put the charges through on my credit card before checkout as happened to SuzyQue.

Each time we used the rewards card, we got a receipt showing the balance left on the card. When you use your key card to charge, is there any way of keeping track of how much you have charged?
