Disney Visa Rewards Card

Has anyone ever use their Disney Dollar Rewards Card on the actual cruise ship? I am wondering because I called the other day and talked with a CM from DCL, and she said she wasn't sure if they could be used on the ships?!?!?! I am thinking she probably was new and didn't know what she was talking about, but I am just making sure. We are planning on using our Rewards Card for tips and other stuff on the ship. Thanks!!!

You will use your KTTW for all charges to your stateroom account. The rewards dollars that you have transferred to a disney rewards card may be used to pay that shipboard account. The disney rewards card cannot be used at shutters, or treasure ketch, or at one of the bars, for example. Neither can the Disney Visa itself. You can find other threads on this topic. You can find warnings about not over-transferring rewards dollars to a card that you cant use before the expiration date on the rewards card, which is in most cases a shorter amount of time than the 5 years on the Visa card.

Yeah, I learned the hard way on the expiration thing and lost about 20 Disney Dollars a couple of months ago. I know that everything goes on the Key to the World Card, I am just glad to know that I can use it to pay our shipboard account. Thanks!

You can use your Disney Visa as the credit card you want all of your on-board charges to go to by giving it to guest services at the terminal when you check in. You can apply any type of credit -- Disney dollards, Disney Visa Rewards, cash, etc anytime onboard at guest services. They apply the credit to your account and then only charge your credit card for the difference.
