Disney Visa Reward Cards

I know this has been asked. But again, how long do I have before I need to order my card. I have about $645 on it. BUT - we had a card from 2 years ago, but DO NOT know where it is. So will they issue me another card? If they issue me another card, I suppose I have to call them rather than doing it over the internet, is that true?

I have 47 days until our trip, so I know I have time, but I am getting in the "mode" of checking off my list. Thanks for any responses!

I am not sure how long it takes to arrive, probably two weeks or so. What you could do, though, is order the card with the minimum amount on it ($20??) and then transfer the rest of the rewards onto it right before you go!

Hey Angela,

I bet your card has expired. I think they are only good for about 18 months. The last time I ordered it took almost 2 weeks to get the card. when you order you'll have to transfer the minimum over which I think is $10. You can transfer it all over but they have a catch you can only transfer in $10 increments I believe so if you have another billing period you might want to leave some in the account to transfer again. This is all from memory so I could be wrong as thing change and I haven't transfered over since last summer!

I called the 1800 from my statement. would have been nice to do that online!

questions about the rewards program.. I dont have the disney visa but my mom does.. She said I can have her rewards $ if I can use them She only has $28 in there as of right now.. Can she use the rewards card to buy disney dollars or a disney gc at the store?

Not sure about buying DD with the rewards but you can buy GC - I have done it through Disney Shopping online. I tried to use my rewards to buy DD a few years ago at my Disney Store and the manager said I could not do that, but others here have been able to! HTH.

Thanks for the responses. I will probably call at the end of May. That would give the Visa people 4 weeks to mail me the card. I will probably only put the minimum on it so I can transfer my next months on there, plus, if it gets stolen or misplaced, I won't have my whole $600 or so on it.

By the way, OT, did you all get your Tinker Bell cards? I did, and so did my DH. I had to call and and order him ANYTHING but the Tinker Bell card. He said, "Ang, how do you expect me to pull out a Tinker Bell credit card?" He later said "though, she does have nice legs"

What's the Tinker Bell cards? I have a Disney Visa, but mine has vintage Mickey on it. I love him!!

MAGICAL JEN It is just another design. There is Ariel, Mickey and Friends, the castle, not sure what else. IF you switched to Tinker then they sent you a free Peter Pan book (which is why I switched designs.) My DH NOW has Mickey and Friends. He is much happier.....

You can transfer it all over but they have a catch you can only transfer in $10 increments

um....wha? If I call them and say "transfer ALL my reward points to my card" they won't do it unless it's on the "even 10"??? That doesn't make sense.... I was under the assumption I can transfer every last dollar at any time.....even if the balance being transferred does NOT end in a "0".

Say you transfer all your reward dollars over three weeks before you go. Then your new bill arrives two days before you are to go to WDW and it shows you have 8 reward dollars on it. You cannot transfer THOSE over because you have to have AT LEAST 10 rewards dollars to transfer over. If you had 12 dollars (nstead of the 8) then you could transfer the 12 over because it is more than 10. HTH

OH! Okay thanks....that makes sense and does not apply! I'm planning to coincide cancelling the Disney Visa when I transfer all the reward dollars...so, once i transfer, i won't be "earning" anymore to have transferred down the road later!
