Disney visa reward card??

I have never gotton a reward card and I was wondering when I should get it? I will need it in Nov, should I get it now and then can I transfer what I earn from now until then onto it? How long does it take to get?

I ordered mine the month before and only transferred the $20 required - then I called the 800 # on the card when I got to WDW and had the rest of my points transferred (the points are transferred immediately). When they transfer your points from your account onto a reward card the points then have an expiration date (which they don't for several years while in your account) - I wanted to make sure nothing happened to cancel my trip before I transferred all my points over to the rewards card with the expiration. It took a couple of weeks for my rewards card to arrive- I ordered it on line.

A question about the expiration date. I know that on my billing statement is stay that XX rewards will expire 3/07. If I transfer to a card will they expire SOONER then that ? If so what is the time frame.

They told me once transfered to my card it expired in 6 months. The card is good at WDW, Disneyland of even the Disneystore and Disney.com. It was fun spending my 286 free dollars last month.

yes, you can buy Disney dollars with your reward card. I got them to give my kids when they do something "extra". This way they have their own spending money when we get there.

I didn't know that they expired in 6 months! I don't really think thats good since you work so hard to get them. I am STILL waiting on my double reward points from July!!! I have called 3 x's and they always say 8 -10 wks. It has been crediting the single points fine but they have yet to double any of them. I wanted them for our September trip.

When we went to WDW in January, I had $19 in reward $$ - it killed me! You can't get anything until you have $20. But...we are taking DS to Disney on Ice for his bday, and you can use the reward $ for souveniers! So now we have "free" $$ to spend - yeah!!

I don't think the expiration of the rewards dollars, once issued, is six months...we just ordered our card last month and the expiration date is 12/2005, which is nearly 18 months. I ordered it with a beginning $50 just to be sure that the exp. date would work for us, then adding additional $ from the acocunt is very easy - all online. You can also look at the remaining balance in both your Rewards account and on your issued Rewards card anytime online as well.

They told me it expires 1 year after it's transferred. We came home last week and I had $456.00 in reward dollars. It felt great to have some nice dinners, a few presents before I spent it all.
I pre-paid the trip in June , so I would have the dollars for the trip.

Once transferred to the Reward Card, they expire December of the following year. If you get it now, the card will expire December of 2005.
