We just returned from Disney and used our reward card. It was great - just treated like a credit card, we were even able to leave tips from it. They would take off the actual amout, I came home with a remaining balance of $4.14.
Only one place said they could not take it - a beverage pavilion outside the American display at Epcot. We used it at Ohana, Morocco, Germany, Norway- the bakery, MGM - the commissary and one gift shop.
Well, now it is back to reality a lovely 9 degree day with a strong wind. I already miss Florida with 70 degrees and sun.

Good to know. I was thinking of using it to get my DD's portraits done again at the Beach Club. Has anyone used it for that yet? I'm hoping that I can.

Last time we had them done was 5 years ago, so they are due for an update! :D

It's good to know there are no problems using the rewards card.

I called to ask if I could send the card along with DS for a school trip at WDW. They said yes, anyone could use it - no signature required.

I like that better than him carrying a weeks worth of cash!

Now he has to make sure he doesn't lose it

Actually when we used it we did have a slip to sign but no signature match and no ID ever asked for. I'm sure your son could use it and just sign his name.

what is the visa reward card???

Robin,

The Visa rewards card is connected to the Disney BankOne Visa Card. You earn 1% of your purchases toward the reward card. You earn the points when you pay on the card. It is a good deal if you pay off your card on a monthly basis. When you are ready to use your points you request a Rewards card and transfer the points you earned to the card. You can use the card at WDW, DL, and the Disney stores. Each point equals one dollar.

Hope this helps.

...that's the first time I've heard of a signature. I guess it makes sense - like if we dispute a charge they have something to go back to. As long as there's no signature match or ID required I guess DS could still use it. Thanks!
