Disney Visa Redemption Card?

So I have a LOT of points and I was hoping to use them as a payment towards a trip I currently have booked. I am being told by a chase visa rep this is not possible? I know at one point I thought it was. So am I correct in assuming I can only use the redemption card for dining and shopping and airline tickets? thanks

I just did a dummy reservation without booking to get to the payment page and the redemption card still shows up as an option for payment.

No, that is incorrect. You can use the Rewards Redemption Card as payment towards a resort reservation.

The Chase representative probably thought that you wanted to use your Redemption Rewards Dollars to pay off the balance owed on a Disney credit card for a trip. That isn't possible.

But if you want to make a payment on the Disney website using your rewards, that's entirely possible.

Here's a different question about using Disney Visa rewards - I will have enough earned to pay for 2 Gold APs when it's time to renew - how can I use my rewards for that?

Do I need to put them on a rewards card and then use that as my payment or do I charge the APs to my Disney visa and then use the rewards as a "credit" on my outstanding balance?

You need to move the reward dollars to a Rewards Redemption Card, and use that to pay at the time of purchase. I believe only airfare gets reimbursed as a "credit" directly from your credit card account (and that is only for Premier visa).
