I applied for the Disney Visa. Their e-mail said it would take 30 days to find out whether you got it or not. Does it really take that long? I was hoping to use it to book free dining.

Generally, NO. By your SSN they'll know if you're at risk or not. Unless you've just started a new job or have recently acquired other debt, it is usually instantly, and at most, no more than 1 week. I'd call Chase (the financial institute) that holds the Disney Visa and ask them.

No. If you applied online, and were approved, you would have gotten an immediate response online. If you were denied, you would have gotten a message that says they will look over it and send you a response within thirty days. The letter will just explain why you were denied. When we bought our house, my husband and I both applied online for the card. I got a message right away that said I was approved and a temporary number to use. My husband was denied and got a message that said he would get a response in thirty days. He got a letter saying that a large financial purchase had been tagged on his credit within the last thirty days (the home loan) so he was not eligible at the time for the card. Hope that helps!

My husband was told he would recieve a letter in 30 days and he was approved. He got a card in the mail. So its not always a decline letter. The message said "we are unable to approve you at this time" Sooo you never know. Is free dining offered this year for disney visa card holder?

I don't know if it is offered at all yet.but rumor has it that it will be offered April 10th. In past years the free dining was offere to thte Disney Visa card holders 1st.

Usually they get a 3day head start on reservations. I applied 2 months before last years strickly to be used to pay off the trip, and got the screen that says we will mail you your answer within 30days, and 2 weeks later I had my card and my nice Disney themed pic on the cover. I never have used the card since the one time I paid the trip off though, but will use it again this year (gotta love the early booking and the 6months to pay off the vacation finance free)

I received a message saying they could not make a decision at this time when I applied. I received my card about 10 to 14 days later with a high credit line. So, don't take that message to mean you were denied. I don't know why they give some instant approval and others not. I applied late on a Sunday night. I don't know if when you applyon line has something to do with instant approvals.
