Disney Visa promotion?

One thing if you get the disney rewards points, you have to have the Disney reward card number to go on the contract.

I have had my Disney Visa for a while but never ordered a Reward card. Now it will take until July 7 for the card to get here. In the meantime I could be waitlisted for Aug 07 points at AK but I can't even start the contract iwthout the number unless I want to give up the points.

At least I will have it for the future.

Won't they just put the reward dollars in your reward account for you to put on the card in the increments that you want? What if you don't WANT them on a card until later? Once the reward dollars are on a card they will expire, but they can stay in the account for like 5 years without expiring.
Our guide is working on getting the reward dollars for us, and he just asked for the 8 digit Disney Visa member number from the e-mail. He never said anything about needing the rewards card.

Maybe I misuderstood yesterday but what I was told is that they put them on the card.

I was told they go on to my rewards card too. For me it is no biggie i figured i am going to WDW in Nov so they would be used by then any way! Either on park tix or at worst case Christmas gift! :

Can someone please inform me....I purchased at the end of april,I had recieved an email in march about the same promo and one this month, I have been bounced around so many times from my guide to disney chase my head is spinning. My guide told me there was not a place to put this number (from my statement ID#) I told him about my email and he insisted it was through chase i keep calling and no resolve. We closed June 12th still no reward points. We purchased 200 AKV points. I feel like I'm getting nowhere fast! To boot the new email this month is like pouring salt in the wound. I got a letter today with the member services number I have to call (FROM CHASE)and they do not know what I'm talking about. My guide has been NO help he kept telling me call chase.....I'm ready to blow! What the heck who is in charge DVC or DISVISA! HELP Thanks to anyone with some insight.

I'm confused. We purchased May 21. Deed was recorded June 12. Is there anyway we would qualify? I really would like those 500 reward points to use in December. Does anyone think we stand a chance or should I just chalk it up to bad luck? Oh, and we used our disney (chase) visa for the downpayment.

I would call member services and speak to a manger if they aren't sure what you are talking about or ask you ch to talk to their mgr. Maybe even forward the email to them. Good luck!

When I called the 8oo number in the e-mail from Chase it put me through to a general DVC rep. She told me I needed to talk to my guide. I left him a message, and then he called me back to get that 8 digit Visa member number. He does think we will qualify, even though we purchased back in mid-May and our contract closed at the end of May. Our original closing date was projected to be June 21.

Unfortunately it looks like there is no way the points will be available for our trip in August. Oh, well. There is always next year!

Hooray!!!! I just spoke with my guide and he said it did apply to me. We closed on May 21st. There was a memo sent out that said anyone who would otherwise qualify would get the 500 reward dollars if they bought May 1st or after. He took the 8 digit id number right then and there and put it in and said I should have them within 60 - 90 days. He said normally offers weren't retroactive, but for whatever reason this time it was. Said he could only give them reactively, meaning he can't give them unless you call and ask for them.

I just got the Visa promotional flyer offering $500 Rewards Dollars for a 160 or more point purchase of DVC.

Does anyone know if you can use this promotion even if you are accepting the current sales deal on AKV (developer points, gift card, etc)?

It seems like it would work, but I wanted to make sure.

At the time we purchased (in June, AKV 160 points), we signed up for both the Developer points and the Disney Visa promotion. Today, online (at Chase site) I was able to transfer some of those promotion dollars to our current Disney Rewards card. Along with rewards balance we already had on the card, I was able to order Annual Pass Renewals for me and my wife, and pay it all with the Rewards card.

FYI- There was a little down side to this too, I also had to pay the pro-rated 2008 dues, which came to about $405.

We tried today to get the 500 disney dollars as well as the 500 visa gift card for referal and we were told no...it's one or the other. It sure seems like you should get both since the 500 gift card is for a referal and the 500 reward dollars is for putting your deposit on your visa but it was NO-GO! Oh well you can't blame a Disney nut for trying!!

Just the dream reward dollars. We bought 160 points at AKV and paid the down payment with our Disney Visa. I called our guide when we got the e-mail from Chase about the $500 dream reward dollars. He looked into it and called me back to say we qualified and we should see the dollars in 2-3 billing cycles. I was wondering if others who were waiting for the credit from back in June had already gotten them. I guess if they don't show up when our next billing cycle closes I will be making some phone calls.

Our guide told us EITHER $500 Referral Visa Gift Card and member gets I believe $200 for first referral that calendar year or $500 Visa Rewards.

However, If we purchase we plan to put the entire purchase on Disney Visa and get the additional rewards that way..I believe the first $2000 will be deferred for 6 months and the remainder we will pay off within 30 days to avoid any Disney Visa financing costs!

I am very confused. Do you only get the $500 dream reward dollars if you use you Disney Visa for the down payment or do you just need to have a Disney Visa card to receive them? Also, must you have a completed sale (have done your closing) or can your purchase be in process with a down payment by Sept. 15 to receive these reward dollars? TIA.
