Have points on my Disney Visa. How do I redeem them or use them for our upcoming trips?:confused3

Any input is appreciated.

I save my points until I can go to the world and then I use to eat " free " on Disney. Free dining for me always!

You have to contact Chase, and you can do it online, and request to redeem your points. They will issue you a Disney Dream Rewards Card for whatever portion of your balance you request. Make sure you allow sufficient time for the card to arrive, as it can take a couple of weeks. When you get to The World, if you're staying on site, just turn in the card with the credit card for your KTTW balance when you check in, and they will apply the balance to your account. If you're not staying on site, I think you can just use the card like a gift card for any purchases at the parks.

First you need to obtain the Rewards Card to load on your DIsney Dollars from Visa. If you log into your account online and click through rewards stuff, it explains how. But if you are going soon (in next few weeks) I would do it at Disney (because if you do it online they mail it snail mail).

To do at WDW: Go to Guest Services (I have done this exact transaction at DTD and Epcot Guest Services, which are both indoors and air conditioned!, but any full service guest services can help you).

Tell the CM you want to get a rewards card, they will ask for your Visa and photo id. Then they type some things into computer, and hand you over the card. They also give you an envelope with instruction to call an 800 number to Visa and ask to move Disney Dollars over to it. Works great and takes very little time.

Then you use the Rewards Card just like a gift card anyplace Disney owns, and most places it operates. There's a list of where it is accepted on the Visa site.

Agreed, it is so easy to do at WDW, it takes under 10 minutes to do! I have gotten the card at DTD and also at MK guest services.

Don't forget about the private meet and greet/free photo at Epcot!

If you do decide to order the rewards card from Chase ahead of time, make sure you leave yourself plenty of time from when you plan to use it. I ordered mine a few weeks before the balance on my vacation was due (over a month ago now) and I still haven't received it. I've called them several times and every rep I've spoken to has confirmed that it was well past the date when I should have received it. They've cancelled two cards already that I never received and now they're rushing a third new card via fedex. At this point I had to pay the balance on my trip but Disney said they would credit me the balance on my rewards card when I receive it. I'm not sure if my experience is typical or not.

thanks for the info. I actually have two trips (August and September) that are a few days each. The first trip is to drop DD off at the College Program and the second is to visit her (over my birthday)

I usually order the card well in advance of my trip with just $20 (the minimum) on it.

Then you can call anytime and have them add points to your card. They are available immediately.

Last trip, I had $300 put onto my rewards card that I used to pay off a portion of my trip balance over the phone. My statement end date is the 1st of the month (which was in the middle of my trip), so I just called while I was at Disney and had the rest of my points added to my card to use in the parks.
