I screwed up and signed up for a new Disney Visa Card without using the pin code I received in the mail. :guilty:

I called right away and provided all the info and the pin to the customer serivce rep and was told I would receive a letter in 7-10 days letting me know if they will honor the "pin" deal. Has this happened to anyone? I received my cards yesterday and I don't want to activate them until I know if they are going to honor the deal. Am I better off cancelling the card and reapplying under the promotion? I'm so mad at myself for such a careless mistake. Any experience or tips are appreciated!

not quite the same situation but I applied for the Disney Premiere Visa card last week with the $ 200 gift card offer in an e-mail from Disney Insider. I read over all the small print, or thought I did (it was late at night) as I already have a Disney Visa and was not interested in the $50 offer with a $49 annual fee. The next day I looked more closely and saw that it did say for new applications only. Called Chase and asked about it. I was told to wait until the card comes and do not activate through the automated system, instead call and speak with a rep or wait for the letter which should follow the card if I am not eligible. He said in my situation where I have not had a sign up offer for almost 4 years, they might give it to me. I messed up by missing the details of the offer but will not activate if I am not getting the $200 offer.

I have always found the customer service at Chase Disney Visa to be top notch, if I were you I would not activate the card without calling Chase first and asking if you are getting the promo.
Good Luck

That's where I'm concerned, I called as soon as I caught the error which was the same night I applied and was told I would receive a letter 7-10 days later letting me know if they would honor it. I found it concerning that they couldn't tell me right then and if this was a common practice. I guess I could call again now that the card is here. I appreciate you sharing your experience!

any luck?

I got my card today, called and spoke to a rep at Chase who confirmed that I will get the $200 gift card after spending $500 in the next 3 months. He said the notation about new applications meant new applications for the Premiere Visa which I did not have. :)

$200 to put aside for our next trip to WDW.

The customer service rep said a letter went in the mail to me today and while he didn't have a copy of the letter to read to me he said it appears they are honoring the $200 pin deal. Whew!
