Does anyone know what the Disney visa card parade preferred seating is? Also DCA preferred seating? I just got some of my paperwork today in the mail through AAA and it was showing that I receive this for using my Disney Visa? Any Help:wizard:

It depends on which way it's going. When we got the seats, we were up on the train platform at the end of the parade. Not sure about the other side, though.

I believe you have to book a package to get this deal. In most cases packages end up costing you more then booking seperately.

I've never purchased a package, but got the deal anyway through Disney Visa. It sounds like she's already got the offer, too.

The nice thing about the priority seating is that you get to sit on a bench, not on a curb. :)

Yeah I used my Disney Visa card to pay for trip and that is how I received it. But just wasn't sure where that lets us sit. If in DCA what seating that was for?

Any idea how you got the deal? I use my Disney Visa all the time and they have never sent me anything. :sad1: Anyone out there have the offer that won't be using it? :genie:

We received the priority seating for our trip in December for booking our packing using our Chase Disney Visa. Others on the board had given a thumbs up on it so we were really looking forward to it. We arrived at the designated roped off area, by IASW, about an hour prior to the evening parade. The CM took our vouchers and told us we could sit anywhere we liked....on the curb. We were seated about ten minutes when I noticed CMs setting up wooden chairs in another roped off area right next to us. I asked that CM if those chairs were for the Visa seating. The CM said that the seats were for some "bigwig Japanese group that paid like $1,000 each". About ten minutes later a big group showed up, and it became very obvious that they were neither bigwigs nor Japanese. In fact, it appeared that they had taken some sort of tour and I guess the parade was part of the tour. I was ticked - why would a CM tell such a blatant lie, instead of just explaining that it was part of a tour group? We asked the CM that since we checked in, could we leave our stroller and sweaters on the curb and return before the parade. The CM said that there was no way to guarantee that they would be there when we returned. Ok - I understand that. There was a couple sitting next to us but I didn't want to bother them with watching our stuff so my husband sat on the curb with the stroller while I took our son on a few rides. We came back about five minutes before the parade and squished in next to my husband. My husband said that people kept pushing the stroller and basically squishing him out. All in all we were very disappointed. I had read on the board that seats were provided and that we could check in and leave. None of that occurred, and I don't think we received any better seats than anyone else arriving an hour prior to the parade scoping out a place. I hope they have changed the procedures or our situation was an anomaly. Seats would have been much better, and made us feel like we were receiving a special benefit. But, the Christmas parade was stunning - we loved it!

The Disney Visa Character Meet & Greet is from park opening (10am, generally) and runs the first 90 mins the park is open (11:30, generally). It is located in the Back Lot near/next to the Monsters Inc Ride.

We purchased our park tickets through either Disney travel or AAA. So between that and the Disney Visa, we got the passes.

I'm so sorry it turned out that way for you. :sad1:

We did the Christmas parade last time and got to sit in those wonderful roped off seats drinking hot chocolate in our souvenir mugs. It was expensive, but wonderful!

Thanks for the information. I was wondering where the meet and greet would be now.

It sounds like maybe there are two different types of seating?

1) The benches and seats where you get the hot cocoa and dessert box. These you have to pay for ($49/person, I think). Anyone at all can book these, and it doesn't have anything to do with Disney Visa.

2) The "free" Disney Visa seating area. Maybe just a roped off area where you have to show your vouchers to sit in? Otherwise just like any other parade viewing area along the route. Sounds like you get it if you book through Disney, paying with a Visa.

We got the chairs and hot chocolate (and gingerbread man cookie, but no dessert box) because we were part of the Holiday Tour - almost $300.00 for our family of 4 to go on. We also got a pin and didn't have to wait in line for IASW or HM. That had nothing to do with Disney Visa.

Our priority seating for the parade (on a different day from the tour) was a roped off section on benches.

I don't know anything about buying priority seating with hot chocolate and dessert box. Can't imagine paying an extra $49.00 just for that, though. :confused3

I booked through AAA and asked her when I paid if I get anything for using my Disny Visa and she checked into it for me. I to before have used my Disney Visa and never got anything so I guess maybe the the thing is to mention when you book. I have never used this so this will be the first time don't know if it is worth it or not but we will see. Still wondering if anyone knows what the Seating is at CA?

We had priority seating for Block Party Bash there. It was just a roped off section with benches in front of a restaurant near the front of the park. Find out WELL before the parade where you're supposed to be, though. We were told one place, but that wasn't right, so we asked again & went to another place. Seems like that one wasn't right, either, and finally got it right with the 3rd CM as to where we were supposed to go. It was kind of a pain, but we did eventually get to our spots in plenty of time.
