Disney Visa offer

You're welcome! I ended up booking another night at the PPH so now we are doing 2 nights at the PPH and two at the GCV. :woohoo:

Thank you for mentioning this. I called to modify my current reservation and was told their system is only set up for package deals right now and to try again tomorrow or Friday. I hope can get this to work for me without having to set up 2 different reservations. I'd basically be getting 1 night free if I can get it to work for me.

Thats weird; I booked a room only as we have APs. I hope you can get it to work.

Holy moly, just took advantage of the Disney Visa offer and saved almost $60 on our one night PPH concierge reservation in November. For those that have the Disney Visa here's the link:

:woohoo: So of course, now my brain and wallet are trying to figure out how to add on another night. :hyper:

Rentayenta, this is so great! I am wondering how you found out about this offer. Did you get something from Disney Visa or find out another way! Thank you for letting us know.

I received an email today from Disney Visa about 10 am today.

Didn't get the email but saw this thread and booked 3 nights at the Disneyland hotel...which was less than paradise pier.

I figured If any fall room discounts came out...it would be by this Saturday or Sunday. The visa offer is few days early...

So thank you...

My WDW/DVC bones shouldn't be too thrilled with $400 a night rooms...but as long as I don't pay Disney full price it takes the sting off...

I feel ya. My husband says I have been looking at the rates too long because I am debating DLH club level and thinking it's not that expensive. :lmao: He's right!

Unless Disneyland "club level" is far more impressive than Orlando...it's a ripoff.

That is the biggest scam there is (other than fireworks viewing parties) in the swamp.

^^ I have only been to the GCH club level and thought it was pretty fantastic. I know the PPH closes at 8 pm v 10 pm at the DLH and GCH. 8 seems very early.

To be fair...the cost difference in Disneyland is not "as bad"

In Florida it's several hundred dollars a night for what amounts to snacks and very ineffective staff that can't do anything more than what you can easily do for yourself from a phone or
Computer.

They used to call
It "concierge"...but it didn't even loosely fit that description.

I had already set up a reservation that included a Saturday night, so I made a second using the discount for Sunday and Monday. I guess I'll have to call and have the extra days canceled and the two reservations merged.

Rentayenta...another thank you coming your way! For whatever reason, I rarely get the emails from Disney Visa. I just booked a room only at Disneyland Hotel Oct. 30-Nov. 2.

I think it's because I already have a reservation that includes a Saturday and wanted to alter that one instead of having 2 different reservations. Not sure why it would need to be a package though since you can make new room only reservations online with this deal. Oh well, I'll try calling again today though and hopefully they'll be able to help me out.

Glad this is working out for so many. I ended up adding two more nights at the PPH, standard rooms. So for now, we'll have 3 nights in Seal Beach, 2 at the PPH standard, 1 at the PPH club level, and 2 nights at the GCV in a one bedroom. I know I am a crazy spilt stayer. :scared: :lmao: I am debating on dropping the club level on our 3rd PPH night but we'll see.......:hyper:

I had *just* booked a standard room at GCH for Dec 5-8 through Orbitz when I read your post. I booked a new reservation with the Disney Visa discount and cancelled the Orbitz. It didn't save me a huge amount ($23) BUT I got a better room and didn't have to pay in full. I'd much rather put money on it each month than have the whole amount on my cc now.

Last year, I booked this same deal. Can't remember if I switched it over to the AP deal when that came out or what because it came with FPs and a couple of other perks.... Anyway, it feels good to have it booked at a decent price ('decent' being a matter of degree)!

BTW, here's something to note about the cost of booking with Orbitz. A GCH standard room was $408/night, but the total cost with tax was $1469.25. That's 20%! The room cost with the Disney Visa was $412 for woods/courtyard view but the total cost for 3 nights with tax came to $1446. So the room cost was higher but the total was lower; wondering if Orbitz adds in a fee.

When pricing Orbitz, did you use one of their coupon codes? I've noticed that they apply tax to the full amount of the room cost BEFORE the promo is applied. Sneaky of them!

Ooooooooh. Yes, I did. I used a 15% coupon code! Well, that explains it!
