Hello! My husband has a disney visa account in his name and I am an authorized user of his account, therefore I have a card in his account. We got the 200.00 gift card with opening his account.

Today we recieved another 200.00 offer to our family and I opened one under my name, and did not add him under my account.

Will I still recieve the 200.00 gift card even if I am am an authorized user under his account?

I should have asked this before sending in the app!
I'm pretty sure I know the answer...but was wondering anyway :) Thanks!

Yes! I believe you can have up to 3 disney visa accounts in your name at a time. I actually got this offer last year, applied and still have the card. 3 months ago I got this offer again, applied again for the disney money then cancelled the card and just last week I recieved another one! Each time I was approved and given the $200 promotion without a problem so you should be more than fine!

Yes. I have a Disney Visa account for which DH is an authorized user. He got a mailer with an offer to open an account and then get a $200 gift card. After a quick online application, he was approved. The gift card will definitely come in handy on our upcoming trip in August!

As of February of this year, Disney Visa has stated that you may no longer have multiple cards in your name. Also, I believe they have recently limited the $200 offer to one per household.

Being an authorized signer for a spouse's account does not exempt you from applying for this offer as it is considered to be totally separate accounts. Glad you got this great deal! Free money is always a great thing! LOL!

My DH has one and I am an authorized user. I got the offer recently, and applied in my name was approved. I called CS to verify that I was eligible for the gift card incentive and was told yes. When my DH got the card, there was no gift card offer so I would check to see if they are now limiting the offer to one per household as a previous poster stated!

Just got my DH's $200 gift card in the mail today! Now maybe I should hide it so he forgets we got it? :) More Disney souvenirs for me

How do you get these offers? Do you need to get your name on a mailing list?

I received this offer and I already have a card. I had read about others here that had multiple cards in their name, so I activated the offer. I got a letter stating that I already had a Disney Visa and was not eligible for another. :o(

I was looking forward to another $200 for our trip!

I wanted to come back and update :) So we DID get another 200.00 card. I went back to see what the difference was in our offers. The offer under my husbands name was with the first purchase we got 200 disney dream dollars in our account, wich is the same thing as having 200.00 to use at disney. We have already requested and gotten this card.
The offer I got in my name was with the first purchase I get a 200.00 disney gift card. I have used my disney visa and recieved the gift card. So now we have 400.00 to use on our trip to Disney :)
So if you get promotions in the mail, make sure and read what the offer is and try to do it!

I have a question, if the op does not mind? We recieved a $200 offer in the mail a couple of weeks ago. Neither of us has a DV. We were planning on signing up, but had not gotten around to it ( it expires in July). Today we got another $200 offer!! How can I maximize this? :) It does not sound like we can both sign up for both offers anymore? Can anyone in my family apply? How about the 5 yr old :lmao: Just kidding!

One thing that was different with our offers is that one was specifically addressed to my husband and the other was to "our family". So I dont' know how your offers were addressed...or if it really matters, but I would open one under your husbands name and then use the other offer under your name. Used your cards as described in the offer to get your gift and see what happens!
If it doesn't work, just cancel the cards...but if it does, what a wonderful way to get some extra money for Disney!!

Both our offers were address to our family, but they do have different offer codes.:confused3 So I am hopeful that we can use them both. We were not planning any WDW trips for a awhile but this is sucking us in. If Disney sends us a pin or comes out with free dining when we can go next year, I think we may be heading south. :cool1:
