The Disney Visa offer is out today. Received an email from my TA at 7:15am letting me know she applied the discount to our room. We are staying at the Poly MK club level and saved $1300 :cool1:

This is why I use a TA, that does only Disney destinations. I see so many negative posts on here about why people use travel agents saying they don't need to and they can do it themselves. Doesn't cost me extra and she was on top of it before anyone even posted on these boards that the offer was available today. Plus I don't have to sit on the phone :thumbsup2

:)If you don't mind me asking. What is the discount? I checked Visa website and so far nothing is on there.

Thank you!

Just called with my Disney VISA and saved $903 on my existing reservation at the Beach Club!

I also checked my visa acct and see nothing there. Can you please share any information
thank you so much

OP thanks for the heads up!!!

Just finished making my reservations and got exactly what I wanted :cool1:

Thanks for the heads-up. One quick call and I owe one-fifth less on my room.

The Disney Visa offer is now posted on the Disney Rewards site. The percentages off are not exactly the same as they were for the spring offer, so check this carefully. The resort I already booked has the same percentage off as the spring offer, but for some other resorts, the percentage off has increased or decreased compared to the spring offer.

Can an existing Visa member help me understand the significance of the discount that is being experienced?

I ask because I am not a current member, but currently have my Honeymoon booked for 5 nights at GF, CL, king room for June.. which currently has a AAA discount applied (which I believe is approx 8%).

I don't want to apply for a new credit card if I'm not going to reap any additional benefit (vs my current AAA discount).. but definitely would if it meant I could save an additional few %!

Can someone help me?

Thanks

I was approved for a Disney Visa Card a couple of days ago and was told I could use the card instantly. The only issue is, I didn't receive the card number yet and I can only book my vacation online through Disney! Does anyone know how I can do this so I can get the discount?

You will be eligible to book the offer on 4/2.

Not sure if you apply for the Visa today if you would be eligible today

The Visa cardholders get first chance at the discounts. Some of the rooms will book up fast. The exact same offer opens to the general public on April 2nd. They are usually plenty of rooms left for the general public, but no guarantee that your room type will be available or be discounted.

The discount for Grand Floridian is 30% off, but that often doesn't cover all the room categories.

Hah! Nevermind, above post beat me to it :) Although, I still don't know whether the discount would apply to a CL Deluxe King room :confused3

You wont be able to book until you receive the card but it may open before you receive your card to the general public, meaning you can book using any credit card, starting April 2, 2013

As for booking directly with Disney that is correct and incorrect
You can use a travel agent but the agent has to book directly with Disney meaning they cannot book through any of the airline packages, expedia, orbitz, etc to receive your 0% financing for six months

The TA I use always books through Disney directly
