Disney Visa Offer back for HHI and VB

We went on the sale for Halloween weekend last year, and I think before taxes the price for the studio was about $100 per night. We're considering doing it again, but I have to call for the pricing. Trying to get a bargain on the air fair too.

Bobbi I'll be curious to hear what you get.

I wish I remembered what the details were of last years promotion. Maybe the percentage off was higher (in addition to the rack rates being lower, of course). Which to me means the regular bookings are higher this year so they have less rooms to fill with this promotion...hmmm

I just called again to ask something and August is sold out under this deal (At HHI). And the rate with tax for a 2BR at HHI for all of Sept/Oct and the first couple weeks of Nov. is about $199 (that includes tax) under it.

If we did a weekend, two nights, that's about $400. Last year we did a three night weekend for $387.60 total.

We booked a 2 BDR at HHI Oct 29 - Nov 2 for about $560 total incl tax for 4 nights. It came out to $140.70/nt including the tax. Great deal!:goodvibes

Using the Disney Visa deal, right? That is more like what I was hoping for. But why am I being told it's much more than that?!

Thanks for letting us know about this. Until a few minutes ago, I had a reservation on DVC Member's Cash for a studio the Saturday before Thanksgiving at $82.50 + tax. Now I've also got one for $85.47 INCLUDING TAX on the Disney Visa Discount. So I'm counting on tax being more than $3 for the Disney Visa deal to be better.

Ok, just made my 3rd call on this... And got different info. than the first two CM's gave me...

THIS CM told me that through October 24th the rate for a 2BR at HHI with this deal is $184.60+tax, but then starting October 25th it drops to $126.75+tax. THAT is the price I was looking for! :) yay.

I booked this deal this AM at HHI for a 1BR for Oct. 19-24 (5 nights--checking in Mon & checking out Sat) and the total was $887. That is sounding high for a 1BR if you're getting a 2BR for just a few dollars more. And here I thought I was getting a deal. :confused3 The 1BR was only about $150 more for the week than a deluxe studio. Wondering maybe if I switched it to Sunday-Friday if I'd get a cheaper deal. Maybe that Friday night is jacking up the price.

They had availability for VB also for a studio & an OVIR but no 1BRs which is one reason why we chose HHI.

You are going in the higher price season. The 2br during your time is $184.60 PLUS tax, so just under $200 (I believe, what's the tax rate there? 7%?).

October 19-24 is a Tuesday-Sunday. Beginning the next day, Monday the 25th, is when the season changes and the price drops.

Does anyone know f I use Disney Visa to reserve can I pay cash at check in for all or part of our stay or does entire stay need to be charged to DV ?

Thanks

I'm guessing you will have to charge to the DV to get it. This is where Disney makes money on the finance charges and can cut a break in price. Just my guess though.

Last year I paid our balance at check in using Disney gift cards. I don't think they care how you pay the balance.

I just called and got a studio for Oct 1 and 2 for 287.16, tax included. I have a room with DVC cash for 149.25 a nite tax NOT included, so DV is a better deal. I may try to convince DH to go with the 1 bedroom, since it is only 67 dollars more than the studio for the 2 nites. First we need to finalize our plans, TODAY. We have reservations made all over, HH, BWV, Port Orleans and Key West. We are doing a road trip for two weeks for our anniversary. We have to decide what days we are going to what place. Oh I love the planning. :woohoo:

Oh my gosh, for $67 I would get a 1br no question! That's pennies in Disney terms! lol And you'd be getting a much better room, I think! I would call first thing in the am and get it if I were you. :) Good luck with all your planning.

I have September 29th thru October 3rd reserved as well as Oct 28th thru November 2nd.

My husband may have work obligations preventing the September trip, but given to two choices above, which do you think is the best time to visit hilton head? He can make September happen if need be.

Thank you for your help! I just can't decide as I've never been and I want to cancel 1 tomorrow.

What number do you call to book this? Is it on the disney visa site? Or do you just call disney's regular reservation number and ask for the DV discount? TIA!

Go to the very first post of this thread and there's a link that'll take you to the offer page on the Disney Visa site. :)

I've only been the one time, in early Nov. last year. It was a very fallish trip temperature-wise. I'd say the earlier you go, the better chance you have for beachy/more summery weather. Of course your second weekend choice is Halloween weekend and that could be fun. Good luck deciding!
