Does anyone here know if there is a limit to how many people can come in at the Disney Visa Meet and Greet? We have an extended family trip starting Saturday :cool1: and I am wondering if I can bring the whole crowd in? I know we'd only get one 5x7 pic for free but I'm sure several more would be bought as well. We will have 8 kids and 8 adults. Please let me know what your experience has been.
Thanks in advance!
Sarah

I'd say you can get at least a group of 8 kids and another of 8 adults if they can't squeeze you all in. I have found this meet and greet photo opportunity to be very nice, they take pics of the kids meeting the characters, some candid ones as you walk around and arrange yourselves and then the posed ones. You can pick which one you want for your free one, and if you and your spouse both have a card, you can get two pictures!!

We have had seven with two characters and plenty of room for more!

we just got the visa card and I was wondering if this was worthwhile to do or if it would be a long wait. I'd love to hear others experiences!

Could you tell me where the meet and greets are located in the parks. Thanks I do have the disney visa.:)

FOUND IT.:)

Maybe we've been unlucky, but we have tried this twice and won't waste our time trying this any more. We did this during the Easter breaks of 08 and
10. Both times, we had to wait for a LONG time. The character interaction was okay, but the picture quality was poor. The actual product was very blurry. We felt that we had wated our time. If you have little ones and want to find some good character interaction, I would suggest the Character Connection. Waits are shorter and characters are more abundant there.:thumbsup2

We never waited for more than 15 minites, and I thought the picture was just as good as any photopass picture. We done this every year for 4 years. The great thing is that we have 3 Disney visas so we can get 3 free pictures. Also you can do this more than once on your trip, we had family with on our last trip and unexpectly hopped to Epcot and only Dh had his card so we got 1 picture, just kids, and later in week we did it again got 3 since I had all 3 visa cards. There we 7 of us and they we great about doing different group shots, just our family, grandparents with kids, and then all of us together.

Do you each have a separate account, or do you each have a card for one account? I was just wondering if I could get 2 pics even though we share an account

We did it last year with 10 adults, 1 teen and 4 kids. Turned out great. Didn't get as much individual family character time so we went back another day and let each family go in separate--mostly for the kids.
You only get one picture per account--even if you have two cards.

I've been meaning to post on this. This was an absolute hit on our July trip. Once we found the place, we strolled in and were the only ones there with Minnie and Goofy. My DD6 particulary wanted Minnie and she was thrilled. Nice pictures of my girls, my whole family, and my MiL.

The only downside was that the line at the photo pickup place was so slow that I wound up walking out without picking up prints. I will print my own pictures off our PhotoPass account.

Do you have to sign up for this somewhere, or just show your Disney Visa there? Anyone have a link to the when and where it is held? We have been Disney Visa card members since the beginning and have never done this. TIA

Is it one free picture per day? I think I read that somewhere. We're going to Epcot on 2 different days and will do it both days if that's the case.

It is one picture per day. Plan on taking full advantage of this during F&W Festival!:thumbsup2
It's in the Innovations Bldg West--just past the firetruck. 1:30 - 4:30pm, (can change). When you walk in the building just follow the walkway to the right and you'll see the sign at the back right corner. We've never waited behind more than 2 families. The longest we waited was when we showed up right at 1:30 pm.

Yes....but if you have 2 visa cards, you can get 2 coupons for free pictures each day that you go to do it.

I've never found the wait to be that long.....

We actually did it in June one day around 3pm and walked in with literally no wait. We were the only ones there doing it.

We took advantage of this at Christmas. Even though it is the busiest time of year, we never waited more than 15 minutes - even on New Year's Eve!!!

There were 6 of us - my family and my parents. My parents also have a Disney Visa so we got two pictures each day. This last trip was a 12 night trip and we didn't make it to EPCOT for the character photo until about day 9 or so. My kids (they were 17 and 20 on that trip) wanted to know why we hadn't done the photo shoot every day?! They LOVED it! We ended up being able to do it about 3 times but, seriously, take advantage of it every day that you can. It's great fun and the free photo isn't bad either!

We aslo do this every year and we LOVE it. DH has his own DV so we got two pictures b/c we had two accounts.
The picture quality was great and it makes for some great interaction with the characters.

I just got my Disney Visa and can't wait to do this when we are there next April :woohoo:

The line always seems to be terribly long at the beginning of the time frame, with people lining up quite early. The only time we walked right in was when we came 10 minutes before they closed.

Some of the photographers are better than others, but the 11yo loves the attention even if the pics are not great. They always seem to take a lot more time with the kids than at the other character greetings. I also take several shots with my own camera.
