We recently took advantage of the $200 bonus Dream Dollars offer and would love to build up some more points before our May 2011 trip. :cool1:

I'd like to try charging bills, groceries, etc, but don't really want to make only 1 payment per month, seems too easy to get off track and be tempted to charge a few "extras". Does anyone know how many payments you can make online per month? I checked the Chase site, but can't seem to find it anywhere. TIA!

I believe all you have to do is wait at least 3 days between payments. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

I'm not sure about a maximum number of payments per month but they do limit the frequency of the payments. You can only have one payment in a three day period.

We charge everything, but I keep a running total on Quicken. I usually pay the card twice a month.

In Quicken I have Disney Visa and an amount. After shopping I come home and change my Disney Visa amount to reflect my new purchases. So it might say I had $100 coming out of my account and going to Visa. But I went grocery shopping and spent $150. I change the amount from $100 to $250 and then change the date to the current date. That way it's not a surprise on how much I spent when I go to pay the bill and the money is already "deducted" from my account.

Yes, it's one online payment every three days. I found this out the hard way!! But I think you can make as many payments by phone for no charge. That's what they told me!!

I never thought to pay more often than when they are due. We always pay them off in full every month but wait until they are due.

I just figured I want the money earning interest in my money market checking account instead of with the credit card company. But maybe I should try this.

It is every 3 days on the Chase website. But I have also used bill pay from my credit union and never had a problem. But it does take longer to post. :)

as long as you dont have a spending problem, it's better off in your account earning the interest.

I'd never heard of or knew you could (or would even want to) go in and pay your bills every week on your CC until I started hanging out here.

I don't see a benefit to paying it any sooner, get your interest (little as it is!) from your checking and pay when it's due. If you just don't like the idea of charging get the Chase debit card.

I have the disney visa and I make lots of payments each month with the online account. I think as long as you have 3 days between each payment they'll let you do it.

I recently signed up for the free $200.00 rewards when opening the Disney Visa....

I am booking a trip for September 2011 and would like to use my rewards for this trip.....

How long does it take to get the card and receive your rewards??

Can someone please tell me how this works??

Thanks!!:)

I make payments as frequently as I want using my bank's online bill payment system. We use our Disney Visa for everything. I want to keep up with what we are spending, so I make payments very frequently. I have been able to make multiple payments on the same day this way.

Our rewards appeared online a few days after the billing cycle ended. :thumbsup2

This is a good idea - thanks!

The money is in a checking account, so it wouldn't be earning interest anyway (at least our account doesn't). It might not be a good system for everyone, but once I've spent the money (or paid the bill) I like it to be out of the account ASAP so that the online balance is pretty close to accurate.

And lots of great tips here on the DIS for earning "free" money like the the DDP :cool1:

Same here. We pay ours several times a month too.
