I just applied for a Disney Visa and the message said I would get something in the mail in 15-30 days! Please tell me it will not take 30 days. I would like to start using it when we go in May.

I applied online on a Monday & had my card in the mail on Friday!

If it was an on-line application, you usually get an approval right away. Chase cards are REALLY strict, so the fact that they say you'll get something in the mail means you may get turned down. Even if you have good credit, they may turn you down if you've used a high percentage of your debt already, like your credit cards are maxed out or close to maxed.

Good luck. Hope you get one!

When I applied a few years ago, I got that same message that I would hear something in the mail. I figured that meant I was being turned down, but 10 days later, I got a card. Hope it comes soon!

This was not the case for me. I have good credit but all my credit cards are close to maxed. I was able to get a Disney Visa and just recently they increased my limit. If you have an application number, you can call and they should be able to tell you if you were approved or declined. They may be able to tell you without an application number. I don't remember it taking 30 days to get my card in the mail.

I applied on line and received the credit card in the mail about 10 days later.

I applied online and was approved instantly. No terms were given but the card came about 7 days later with all that info. This was about a month ago

I applied online and was approved instantly. Received the card about four days later.

I applied online and was approved instantly, as well. I think my card came within 2 weeks of when I applied.

My husband and I applied and received a Disney card back in 2000 (we married in 1999). We actually did not believe we would be approved because of his "not so great" credit history. However we were. :dance3:

Now the interesting part..after using the card for 2 & half years and paying off each time within two months of charging (we live an hour & half away from WDW and would go for regular vacations and weekends), we received a letter stating our card was cancelled.

Of course we called CS and were told that while reviewing the account to INCREASE our limit they discovered we should never have been approved initially and that it didn't matter what our history was with them, the account was closed and cancelled! A rule is a rule we were told! :confused3

So enjoy while you have it...any spot on a credit history and they can cancel at any time and do!!!!

This happened to my mother. She had a Disney Visa for YEARS and I guess they do an annual review or something like that to see if you qualify for an increase and she had one negative thing on her credit so they closed it... even though she had been on time on her payments since the day it was opened. Sucks. :sad2:

I did online and had card within the week. Credit card companies review regularly and will cancel if you have others cards near max, too many, or debt ratio is out of whack. Also they can close it if you pay it off each month.

Yep. If they're not making any money on interest, they can shut you down.

Really? We've had the card two months now...we opened one to get the $200 Disney gift card and rewards points for our upcoming trip. But...I've been paying it off within ten days of making any purchase. Will they really cancel me for this???

We have a little bit of trouble on our credit history...so no Disney Visa for us :sad2:

Sucks we can't get certain promotional offers for Disneyworld because of past credit history...I think credit history is used way too much to determine eligibility for things that have nothing to do with credit (such as auto insurance)!

How long did it take to get your 200 gift card we are waiting on ours and we leave in 2 wks for disney!

We have applied for a Disney Chase Visa in the past and were turned down. We have had some issues in the past (minor stuff) but I still will not apply for a card. I just think that the "issues" are too current for Chase.

I guess when I feel the time is right, and I know I will get approval, I will apply again. It really sucks that a bad month can hang with you for 7 years on your credit. But, that's how it works.
