Ditto here, we booked the August 2019 visa card free dining deal and was wondering the same thing. Was contemplating an AP just for me or DH for the discounts. I am planning to call in a little when I have some time to find out.

I know you could if you were upgrading while there, just do it after check in.

It also used to be possible to have the front desk pull the ticket off your account and give you a physical ticket, it would most likely expire after a year though. Then when it comes time to renew you would present said ticket.

I am almost sure that you can apply the cost of the tickets included with the Free Dining to the cost of an AP. This has to be done at Guest Relations at any park entrance or at Disney Springs.

You should be able to apply the paid price to another ticket. Beware though that even before the last set of ticket changes, some DISers have had trouble getting their value. Read the thread below.

The DISer really had to invest significant time and energy escalating through the Disney chain of command to get the value for her tickets.

If you do purchase the FD package, can you come back and report if it was easy to apply the value of your ticket at a later date? And if you were able to do it over the phone so you could book FPs in advance?
