Disney Visa for Canadians????

I have been just finished reading on the DIS budget board that there is a Disney Visa that is currently giving $50 in Disney $ to new subscribers. I am not familiar with this VISA and was wondering if it is even available to Canadians. Does anyone know of the web site to apply for it IF Canadians are eligible?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think you might be able to get one if you have a US address and a bank account in the US ... but otherwise no, it's just for Americans.

I'm Canadian and I have one.........but live in the US....sorry! I also believe you need a US social security number to qualify.

AH, but are you moving back to Canada and Losing your US Address? Did you find out whether or not they will let you keep your Disney Visa? Maybe there will be a loophole that the rest of us could use!

Hey, I even got a Barney's of New York Card! I would rather have the Disney Card! Gotta start somewhere!LOL

I know that the Disney Visa is only good for U.S. residents. At this time I have only heard rumours that Disney is trying to find a Canadian Bank they can make a deal with so that we can enjoy the Disney Visa....but these are just rumours!!

A while back I emailed Disney about it and here is what they sent me. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Shoot, I can't find it. If you do a search, you can likely find the trhead. The long and short of it is that they have no plans to do a Disney Visa for Canadians. Quel Domage.

I email VISA directly and asked if VISA Canada had a simular product to the Disney VISA in the States and the answer was no. They did have some Disney Wishes promotion/contest or something that had expired a while ago.

We can only wait and hope.

They seem to have that every year but we never hear of anybody winning it!LOL
