Disney Visa early discounts

I remember when we booked our trip a few years ago that the WDW discounts were available to disney Visa card holders about a week before the discount was public, does this still happen, and if so how do I found out when that happens? Is there a link to a chart or site that has that info? TIA!

*IF* it happens, I usually get an email about it. Occasionally a post card in the mail.

However, for the latest room only discount there was no early notice so I wouldn't count on it!!

Last May I did get an email for the free dining discount but I saw it on these boards first.

I typically look at the specials that are out there now. I check to see when the book by day is. This lets me know when I should be on the lookout, usually within a week of the book by date, I start looking at the Visa site and have always had luck seeing it. I sometimes get emails about the special, but I typically just track it down myself.

I've never gotten an e-mail.. I usually keep an eye on the discounts section on the resort board here on Dis. Mousesavers might have a chart on that site somewhere.

Mousesavers has a historical chart of when discounts are released each year. I plan to start stalking these boards daily at least two weeks before I think a discount MIGHT be released for our 2016 trip since this is always the first place I find it! Sometimes I get the emails, sometimes I don't, so I won't be counting on that for our spring break trip. Especially since there was no advance notice as a pp said for the spring deal.
