I just got my first offer from Disney Visa to double our points for the next 3 months, if we spend $250 each month in groceries and with other specific spending. The other categories (healthcare, gas, movies, etc) are not places I'm going to be using my card.

I never charge our groceries, but I'm thinking about doing it for some extra points during the next few months.

I read the fine print on the offer, and it says that grocery categories are included when we're buying from "participating" grocery stores. How do I know if our local chain where I usually shop is "participating" in this program? Should I just assume that it'll count toward my bonus points, since it IS a grocery store? Thanks!

Question~ Did you get this offer in the mail, or see it posted online at Visa?

TIA! :sunny:

We got the offer in the mail. This is the first time I ever got an offer, and I'm a charter member so I've had the card for a while.

I just hope that if I do decide to charge groceries (which goes against my grain), that I will get the double points without hassle.

Call and ask...

My husband got a postcard too. He has to spend $450 each month thru the end of the year to get double points. Last time it was $750 and it was good for a year.

My offer was to get double points in those categories when I spend over $600 per month through the end of the year. It's not clear if the $600 is just in those categories, or for all spending, and then the bonus points for specific spending.

I'm not sure if I have to spend the $250 *each* month until Dec. to get the points. To me, it sounds like I have to spend $250 per month, and for that month I'd get the bonus points. :confused3

I'm not going to be charging groceries for more than a month, especially with Christmas shopping around the corner! Bonus points or not, after Oct. I'm paying cash for groceries.

I did call to see if our store is participating in the program. It is. So, if anyone shops at Weis, you're good to go. : )
