Disney Visa...does trip count towards points?

In discussion with DH.... We are considering using a different credit card to pay off our upcoming trip because I seem to remember last year not getting points for paying for our Disney World vacation with my Disney Visa. I could be wrong, as I have chronic mom-brain. Anybody know if you get points from the $$ you spend on a WDW trip???

I got rewards points by putting my trip on my Disney Visa last year. I also believe that I got points this year based on my deposit for this years trip.

we got points when we used our visa for the deposit, i dont see why they wouldnt give you points

I believe you get points for every $100 spent if I remember correctly, no matter what you spend it on. We've been racking ours up and paying off every month before Sept.

Yes, you get points for Disney trips you put on the card. In January 2008, I got an offer for 5x points on anything charged over a certain $ amount. I had purchased a dishwasher that month and knew I was already over the threshold. I used that opportunity to pay the balance for my September 2008 trip, even though the balance wasn't due yet. But I earned over 100 points for that trip.

Was your 5times offer for specific purchases or anything? It sounds like anything. Last year we received the 5xs for specific purchases (with 250 threshold on those items each month) Lucky you if it was any purchase!!

It included all purchases, not just specific categories, but the threshold was high. I think it was $2,000. I put everything on my Disney Visa and my bill is usually around $1,000 each month. With the purchase of the dishwasher, I knew I would be close to the $2,000 already. The offer just happened to come the perfect month for me to take advantage of it.

That's the only time I've gotten an offer that was open to any category. Usually the bonus offers I receive only apply to gas, dining, and groceries.

we used the Chase Disney Visa for all three trips and the final payment produced 30 odd disney reward dollars for that trip. You may have to call chase to have the points applied (i guess is the right word) as reward dollars as the final payment and your trip dates are too close. We had to do that on our last trip, it took my wife about 5 minutes on the cell phone. We recieved our rewards dollars card prior to leaving for the trip and had to have the last month's rewards credited after we got there. I hope this helps
