Okay, So I am wondering if the Disney Credit Card is worth it for our trip. I'm not one to have lots of credit cards and we are not planning on going to Disney every year. (We are responsible credit cards and have some travel rewards with our current cards.)

I read that you ca get 10% off your trip packages, tours and in the park shopping. I already paid for our tours but, maybe they would re-book them for me with the discount.
Is the discount on all hotel/ticket packages?
Is there any place to get a full list of the dinning and shopping locations that you get the 10% discount?

What is your experience?

I have a disney visa card. When i go to the parks, I always use for eaeting, shopping. NEVER ONCE have I been given a discount for using it.

???? anyone else?

:confused3
you do get 0% finance for 6 months on hotel stays. But other % off vacation perks only occur certain times of the year.

Here is a link with the current info

I find the rewards card no to be the greatest. Unless you pay the card in full each month, the interest on the card out ways the rewards money you have earned.

I've used it for 10% off at World of Disney at DTD for $50 or over.

OP - I don't think it would be worth it for discounts alone. Unless you plan to use it and actually accumulate and utilize the rewards, I don't think it would be worth it.

That said, I've had one since they first came out YEARS ago - and I likely have earned and used between $4,000 and $5,000 in rewards. So I LOVE the Disney Visa! This coming trip in August my goal is to make our own version of "free dining" and just have enough rewards to pay for all our food and ADR's on site. So far I have about $550 accumulated and hope to have at least $750 before we go.

Many of the resort stores have a discount for the Disney Visa, but there is a minimum purchase of $50. I always ask the clerk what discounts are available when checking out, because we have bot the Visa and DVC.

Agreed. I loved the reward card when I first got it many, many years ago. At that time they would do 5% bonus categories occasionally, which would add up nicely. Not any more :worried: and the premier card just doesn't add up for us with the annual fee. Now, I mostly use my Chase Freedom or Discover card earning 1 - 5% cashback.

Someone on the boards once said, when asked about the best credit card reward program: "Cash is King." And I realized they were mostly right and quit chasing Disney deals. :thumbsup2

Right. And many places at DTD in Disneyland give you 10% off with no minimum purchase. I always ask too.

And the Disney Rewards Redemption Card (DRRC) is like a Disney Gift Card "Plus", in that you get 10% off the bill at many places like the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and the Surf's Up Breakfast with Mickey & Friends, and can use the DRRC.

Hopefully no one is getting a Disney Visa in order to accrue additional debt. If you already are paying credit card interest anyway at this rate or higher with lesser or no perks, then there's nothing wrong with taking advantage of the perks of this card.
